TrackHat problem

Installed CLEye and TrackHat open track as required, TrackHat seems to work ok on the programme (the hat moves around when I do!) but these movements are not translated in game at all, using the freetrack protocol. Have I missed something obvious?

 

Also can't find the laucher to start up the programme (as it didn't appear on my desktop as requested) which strikes me as weird, it can't be that hard to find!

You might have to Make sure the program for track hat and all that is running first Then launch the game.

Also have you tried the other way track hat sometimes is mapped (like it was in Flight sim X)
Goto Camera control >> Select a Camera movement (head up/down) and then move your head and try to bind to that control.
Like you would do with a joystick >> select control >> Bind by moving it.

Edit: Also make sure you are running both the Trackhats.exe and the games IL2.exe (not launcher.exe)
As Administrator but this will depend if you run steam version (i no little about steam)

Can you post a screenshot of what is being shown in the CLEye display? Also, make sure CLEye is not running when you run trackhat, check on the freetrack setting tab and be sure in the select interface section it shows "enable both".

After much tinkering... my TrackHat IS working in BOS. It is still not setup the exact way I want it to perform in the game and I had to invert all of the axis... but, I can confirm that it does work. Oh, and I am using the Launcher.exe. If that really matters.

 

I  am using version 1.2.4.

I’m also having issues with trackhat, when I start cl-eye all works fine but when I open opentrack and hit start the video window stays blank and no light on the camera and the program closes after 5 seconds! On further investigation when I go into options - camera and look at statuS it says ‘tracker offline‘, I have installed all the latest versions a few times and still no joy, if anybody can help I would be grateful.
