CisTer-dB- Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Thanks guys I'll give it another try, I'll keep you posted
T_Rod Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 There's a lot of exaggeration and myth in CloD "complexity"*, for example a Spitfire only require one control more than the in il-2:46 to started, the fuel cock. * This myth is because at "release" the things dont work because are "broken", not complex. For example, at time, due "bugs/errors..." was virtually impossible to do cold start and take off with Blenheim without damagin engines. Now you do this in "a minute". Pic a plane, Hurricane, Spit... and learn operate and fly then - look at TF Wiki parameters, although not perfect, is the best source of information, and the people in ATAG forum. Sokol1 Well, to be fair, talking about complexity, in comparison with BoS, CloD is like landing with an Apollo rocket manually . You know: DCS > CloD > BoS > War Thunder.
snowsnipersnow_sniper Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 T-Rod, trying to land BOS Lag 3 without boucing > DCS > CLOD > BOS bombers > FSX Acusim A2A > ... ... my point of view Subjectiv point of view i think. as far as difficulty and studie needs, does not mean perfect realism but can be due to a game issue. .... Who really knows except real pilot ? We can only speak about feelings of reality in virtual flights CLod is great feelings and fun. for sure. not so difficult to grab some fun with. 1

I'm totally agree with you. I think if it's fun, then is great. (By the way, the flying feeling, i think is better in BoS than in the others) 1
JG4_DUI Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 After some weeks there is a new status update of TF and also a video about new ship models that most likely will make it into the next patch: http://vimeo.com/107256620 Ahoy!
Vaxxtx Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Very nice. Team Fusion continues to amaze me.
dburne Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Wow, that is looking awesome - amazing work these guys are doing for this great sim!
JG4_DUI Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Totally agree. To me it is still unbelievable that some people are willing to invest so much passion and time. I really love to fly the sim but if someone asked me to invest such countless hours I would immediately run away. Here is some extra info about the planned scale of the changes for TF 5.0: We have modelers working on 7 new or new versions of aircraft types, 5 new shipping types, 6 new vehicle/gun types, many building types, new map tool, plus all the sound, FM, texture, skins, etc. required to provide players with a complete immersive experience. But just in aircraft, there are another 5 types which we would like to add and which could still use modelers...
Feathered_IV Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I recall they mentioned AI behavior and commands were going to be looked at in 5.0 I wonder if that would still be on the cards. Single player in clod is still very far below standard. 2
snowsnipersnow_sniper Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 nice to see these great thread for this great sim is not dead. dream goes on. thanksfull to TF great folks.
LLv34_Flanker Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 S! TF saved Cliffs of Dover. I really hope they can fix bugs and improve the game and bring a new life to it with new planes/theatres
wuffman Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 ~S~ Long Live Team Fusion and Cliffs of Dover - HERE ! HERE !
Black034 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 How does this game run performance wise, heavier or on par with BOS? Had the chance to buy it a couple months back but the community told me not too at the time, looks pretty damn good though.
DD_bongodriver Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 For me it seems to run on par with BOS despite being much more graphics intensive, Team Fusion mods have really made this spectacular and it's getting better each time.
Vaxxtx Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 How does this game run performance wise, heavier or on par with BOS? Had the chance to buy it a couple months back but the community told me not too at the time, looks pretty damn good though. Runs flawless on high settings. I knew something was done when an airfield got bombed and huge explosions around me with smoke, and I got not 1 stutter. Another was on the LWRedux campaign when there were 60+ ships with their guns going and again smooth as silk. For the price + free Team Fusion mods, you cannot go wrong, IMO.
FlatSpinMan Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 If you have a lower end PC like me (alas), don't get it as the lower scale aircraft models are really ugly and the landscape is too densely populated to run it. If you have a decent computer though it looks gorgeous and all that ground detail really leaps out. I bought it on pre-order, tried it, got nowhere, gave up. Then I tried the TF mods but my newer PC still lacked the intestinal fortitude to run it and make it look acceptable. BoS plane models look great even on low settings. The view distance less so. When this useless piece of "ahem" kicks the bukcet I'll choose a better one. My wife bought this one and don't think for a moment that I have forgotten it! BTW, when I say lower end, I can run fairly recent games well, just not the latest, bleeding edge stuff.

Black034 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Okay, what about graphical settings in the menu. Is it the same like BOS with (dumb) presets? And if it is, can I alter the settings through cfg editing? I take my framerate very seriously

Sokol1 And this is entirely true, Sokol. Just look at the start-up procedure for the A2A Spitfire for FSX and the one we have in CloD and we realize that apart from a fuel cock and magnetos, not much of the real start-up procedure is reproduced in CloD. Which is a shame, really... because I'm sure the engine would allow something close to DCS standards in terms of system management. However, I must say that I think the bombers in CloD are just superbly modelled and I like how we can switch between fuel tanks and adjust the real 3d bombsight.
CisTer-dB- Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Hi Black034 as I can see you are doing skins. Are You into 3D moddelings?
Black034 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 2d only sorry. Graphical settings, presets or manual? My mouse is hovering above the "confirm purchase" button.

7./Sch.G.2_Stublerone Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I am currently watching the development of the HRCodWar, which is an enhanced mix of ADW, SEOW, etc. Really crazy possibilities. It would just need moving ground units and this would be a stunner. I love SEOW and its possibilities. Poor, that we currently have nothing close to that in the plans for BoS, as far as I know. SEOW possibilities, trying to establish a real war scenario with decisions in many aspects, also aside just flying + rearm, refuel, repair with living/breathing airfields.... This is, what I am searching for. And this is also, what would make IL2 BOS really sticking out of the others. If not such possibilities then what else? There will be no real community that is doing events and such without extended possibilities. And with extended I mean enhanced possibilities, that we havent seen officially in other WW2 flight sims. That should be a focus. Until then, this game for me is just 90% finished and not very interesting for a unique online experience. I hope, that they will see that soon. Just flying randomly isnt that much fun for me personally. And offline flying without coop possibilities is also a dead branch for me already. I will do once and as long as necessary, but afterwards, I wont touch that sigle player anymore...only if we can fly cooperatively. But really check out this mod for CloD. That can be quite fun for online evenings!
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted October 10, 2014 Team Fusion Posted October 10, 2014 If you haven't seen good movie making in CoD, check out this one, entitled: "Guardians of Britain"
wuffman Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Funny, this is a BOS forum, but... Been there, done that, flied " all " sims out there, been to war, however NOT as a pilot, but... there is nothing out there that even comes close to feeling like actual military engagement above CLoD. Problems, yes. Rewards, beyond any competitor. Do I want to get punted from the BOS community, NO! There is definitely something here, worth evolving. I will gladly put in time for support of a better Ideal. CloD is a great statement, BOS has the potential to be another. Oscar Mike!
