SCG_Space_Ghost Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I don't think it "runs better" on either. Win 7 does require a DX11 compatibility patch though if I recall correctly.
SCG_motoadve Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 Running in Windows 7 pretty smoothly with Direct X11 , I didnt applied any patches.

SJ_Butcher Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I don't know if this will be the case, but when windows 10 come outs some sites did a performance game bench marking on windows 10 vs windows 7. Windows 10 won all the test, because its faster, safer, light resource usage. But there are the case on some older games that don't run very well on windows 10, but as I said they are old. For me Windows 10 is way faster, stable, safer and low resource hungry than windows 7.
Finkeren Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Didn't notice any difference at all, when I made the transition from 7 to 10.
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Recently changed from Win 7 to 10 and BoS runs just as good.
ShamrockOneFive Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Ran it previously on 7 and 10 with no real difference between either of them. There may be a slight performance bump up in Windows 10 depending on how their new "game mode" that they were talking about materializes. I'm betting it won't be a big change.
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 only real difference are windows 10 is more restrictive with admin rights (hand holding) thats about it.oh and it looks like cruddy smart phones

jaydee Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Hi moto ! I have Played BOS in Win7 for about 3 years. I loved Win7 ! I decided to Upgrade my PC.....So I thought I may as well Upgrade to WIN 10 now (I am going to be Forced to do it anyway). I really didn't like Win10 at first. All the Freedom of Win7 was gone. Win10 seemed more like a Mobile Phone APP than an OS... At this Point I haven't noticed Any difference running BOS on Win10... I am Lucky to have a good PC though ! I am a bit skeptical but there May be some good news for those Pilots with slightly older systems, that upgrade to Win10 ! http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/details-windows-game-mode-explained.html
Jade_Monkey Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Runs well on Win 10. With the upcoming "game mode" where system resources are reduced while gaming, it can only get better. 1

LMAO want to knwo the best "game mode" for all windows.. Start >> appearance > Max performance (makes windows 10 - 7 look like windows 98/2000 without themes) Disable windows defender (25% game perf increase) Edited January 31, 2017 by =r4t=Sshadow14
