Message to the community:

For those in the community wondering what is going on behind the scenes and what further developments there has been to the Agreement in Principle signed by TF and 1C:

Team Fusion and 1C Games are continuing to negotiate the details of a final legal agreement which will allow TF access to the Source Code and set up a distribution arrangement for our releases.

As with all business involving lawyers and legal documentation, the process takes time. Negotiations have also been slowed by people and lawyers from both sides taking time off during our western holiday
period and the corresponding Russian holidays, which run later in the calendar, which meant negotiations did not get substantially started again till nearly mid January.

The good news is everything is proceeding well, both sides are in substantial agreement. TF would like once again to thank Jason Williams and Nikolay Baryshnikov of 1C for their good faith and patience. TF has every confidence we will have a finalized agreement in place in the near future.

Beyond the legal agreement, TF is also in the process of incorporating, this takes time, and is complicated by the fact we have a large number of members, and those members come from all over the world, with different legal and business structures in their home countries.

While all the above is going on, we aren't resting on our laurels and work continues in many areas of development.

Looks great!!!

This was the sim that originally promised everything from "Photo-Realistic Graphics" by Oleg to "A super-secret new feature that would change the flight sim world as we know it" by a guy who's name doesn't deserve to be mentioned.

I would love for the full potential of CLoD to be realized so thanks MP and Jason for putting new life into this sim.

Q: If you originally purchased CLoD will the update with DX11 and all previous updates rolled into one be free or deeply discounted for previous buyers?

Q: When will Steam have the all-in-one update available for download.  That is what I'm waiting for short term.

Thanks!!!

Q1) If you own the original the Team Fusion patches are all being rolled into one download for the first release. Next will be a version that includes all the Team Fusion patches with DX11 and other features recoded using the Source Code and this will also be free too (except if you don't already own CloD you will have to buy it of-course!).

Q2) Once we sign the legal documents we intend to have the all-in-one patch available shortly after....but this is the same as you can already get, just as a single install directly via Steam. The recoded version with DX11 (and other features to be confirmed) should be along 3-4 months after depending on the complexity of the work.

Cheers, MP

Question:

Can the 'boats' be ported over to BOX with relative ease? Might speed up the sea faring process quite a bit, especially for tenders, oilers and other support ships.

Not sure if Jason's team is committed to doing the capital ships in-house or not but some would work for the pacific as well. Just not Midway per se.

If the argument against expanding to the Western Front is simply the Luftwaffe was overwhelmed and defeated then there is absolutely no reason to ever go back to the late war Eastern Front either.

I understand the recoded version with DX11 will be here in 3-4 months but when will the all in one DL on Steam be available?  Soon I hope!

This will happen not long after we sign the legal documents. No specific timeline at the moment but once we sign, the intention is that the TF patches we currently have released will be available as a single patch via Steam. So when news comes that we have signed the documents, it should be soon after that.....but as yet we are still waiting to sign.

Cheers, MP

Amarok,

Just 0,02$: Since the beginning CloD is "STEAM game" using STEAM DRM - that work very well -  a standalone version implies in use a alternative DRM method, a investment not recommended in CloD case.  ;)

Amarok. At this moment in time there are no plans for that. CloD runs when Steam is running, although you can set Steam to offline (if you need to?), but at the moment we are not considering a version that runs without Steam.

That is terrible news Mysticpuma, I was hoping the new alliance with 1C would provide us with the option to move away from Steam and take the game from the same place as we currently do with the BoS series.  :cray:

Anyway, still looking forward to seeing what comes out from you guys. :drinks:

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

Wonderful news ! Finely Cliffs of Dover will reborn and the Original IL2 series continues.

I have 1000 Questions for you  Mysticpuma !

Q1: Can you improve the FMB witch is not finished from my point of view. Bad weather, Fog, Rain....    like in IL2 1946

Q2: What about Radio navigation and night Flight ?  in actual version the Lorentz  is  not working on line i think.

Keep going guys and...   keep the dream alive !

Saladin.

Q1: Already underway for v5.00 as we have mission builders in the team who feel the same way :) One long standing issue has been the fact vehicles can't cross bridges (oh dear :( ), that's on the list of fixes for a start! There is huge amounts to be done but we are doing it as and when we can :)

Q2: If it's broken we intend to fix it. If it's in the bugtracker we'll visit it as and when we can.

Radio navigation works great both for day and night flying for He-111s, Ju-88s and BR-20s. http://theairtactica...ead.php?t=8840. It is currently in some of the MP missions that adds another dimension to flying bombers.

The Lorenz system works in single player, but it's range is too limited to be useful at the moment.
