Does DServer require a 3D accelerator card?

Can I set up a VM without a physical 3D accelerator card and successfully run DServer? Or does it require a working 3D graphics card to host? Thanks!

Not to my knowledge. DServer runs in a small window, which doesn't contain any graphics (if you don't count text as graphics ).

 

EDIT:

The Finnish VirtualPilots server machine has only integrated Intel GPU, and it has performed nicely.
