I was wondering if people would post their Nvidia Control panel settings so noobs like me could look them over.  I'm at work so can't give my computer specs other then to say I can handle all graphics on ultra, but the terrain seems dull and without much color.  The cockpit control panel looks a bit grainy too.  Vibrance need to be upped?

Just posted this elsewhere but you may be interested.  It is a guide that explains all the settings in nVidia Control Panel.  The setting info starts on Page 5.

http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_1.html

The guide also addresses Advanced Tweaking with ReShade, etc.  I use ReShade to do exactly what you are looking for.  Here is a post about my settings with comparative screenshots.

Here is the link to download ReShade.

EDIT:  One last thing.  IMO, the first step anyone should make prior to making changes is to calibrate their monitor as closely as possible.  I use the following website.  Sometimes it's a compromise between settings so it is more an art than a science.

A big + 1 on the first step being making an effort to calibrate monitor, even the built in Windows one is a good start.

just type in 'Calibrate' into search box

These settings will work fine/are the best on the below hardware. (this is my hardware and i get 60fps smooth in MOST cases.)
NVIDIA GTX-780 @ 1.05ghz or better
AMD FX-8350 @ 4.2Ghz or better
RAM 16GB @ 1875mhz
Normal SSHD (hybrid drive)
1080P Monitor (60hz vsync)

This is good thread, very helpful. I didn't realise that you can calibrate the screen. Such an improvement for me. When I'm home I'll work on the Nvidia control panel. Thanks to all for your advice

I have upgraded to a 1060 6G card. Decided to try your settings but when i select Program settings It brings up (amongst others) Cliffs of Dover and Rise of Flight but No BoS?

Select Add Program (see the little arrow in pic above)
then it will be the IL2.exe among the most recent run programs NOT LAUNCHER.exe

If its not in the list (just run the game and close game it will be there.)

Hi Baer ! IF you want some help, you need to post your PC Specs. Are you running an Atari ? ..Pentium 4 with a Nv gtx 460 ? ...We don't know ..so we cant help !...And most guys around here would like to help !

So Baer, If you post your PC Specs, people with similar Specs will be able to share their BOS settings with you....~S~

PS...Anyone that answers a "Request for Help Post" with" LMOA" is a "say no More" !

WTH is wrong with you..

LMAO is not offensive or anything bad.

(laughing my arse off is just a saying, here used because the day of this thread i had already shared this profile like 5 times in various places.)

Also I helped him.

He asked for nvidia control panel profile and i provided the correct Proper profile.

Regarding the profile i shared..

THE ABOVE PROFILE APPLIES TO ALL SYSTEMS WITH THE CURRENT CONFIGS (Each and every one of them and is the ONLY True Default Settings)

- GTX680 or better (NOT "M" Models from laptops)

- AMD 965BE or better (Not Overclocked 955's sold illegally as 965's)

- 4GB Ram or Better

- Windows 7 or better (This never includes windows 8)

PS....

Anyone that answers a "request for help post" by attacking those helping the OP and skipping over facts like the op said he would post his pc specs when not at work. is a "Say No More!"

It's all good gentlemen.  My specs are:

Intel Core i7-4790 @ 3.60Ghz

16 Gb of ram

Geforce Gtx 960 (Overclocked)

Windows 10 64-bit

1920x1080 @ 60Hz

Regards.

Yeah no worries.

Those specs Will easily run the Game on Ultra with full anti Aliasing @ 1080P and get atleast 70-120 Fps with Vsync off and a liquid 60 fps with vsync on.
Just go into the game turn everything on (except distant grass as its only 300ft versus 100ft for normal)

turn on SSAO and HDR.

As for the lack of colour..
yes the game uses some very odd bland colour filter (not sure why, even ww2 films had more colour in them)

I would Recommend Trying out Reshade.
This is what my filter looks like (always looks a little dark as a jpeg pic versus ingame)
