=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Hello all,I am just curious if its possible to save custom settings other than just 1 quick view?I mean can i save custom trim settings for take off and so on.as the default trims are just random uselessness.Every flight i am re-trimming during engine start (actually my sequence is now Engine start, lights on Reset trimmers, Start to taxi.Eg, BF109 general stock stab trim = -46% should be +5%-+15% for take off (with a 230kph rotation speed) depending on loadout and desired rotation speed.
=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 I know of 1. Write them down. I don't think there is an in-game way.
TG-55Panthercules Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) They don't seem to have implemented an easy way to save and load different settings profiles like they did with RoF, but I suspect there might be a way to accomplish the same thing via a set of JSGME mod packages. I haven't had time to try this yet, but I suspect that if you made changes to your settings to get them like you want them for a particular plane type, exit BoS and then saved a copy of the contents of the data\input folder and put them in a JSGME package for that plane type, by replicating this process you could create several sets of settings files for different planes in different JSGME packages, and then use JSGME to install/activate those settings files for the type of plane you want to fly before starting BoS (and remember to deactivate it with JSGME after you exit BoS). Not exactly elegant, but unless something screwy is going on with BoS it seems like this sort of approach should work. Edited January 17, 2017 by TG-55Panthercules
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted January 17, 2017 Author Posted January 17, 2017 Its not a case of memory so writing them down wont help auto set these to correct values.i was more meaning the default trims and stuff they are currently saved with random variables.i want access to the file where they are saved so i can change them, why dont they make the file system easier with more open files to make modding and mod support better.I check for game related stuff in Registry keys, Games files in C:\users\Local (apparently there is none from il2) Only real config or anything are those in Il2/Data and so on.I mean there should be a folder in C:users/local where all main settings are stored (like graphics and controls and screenshots recordings and so on) like all other games. ??
-EAGLE-Shifter Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Hi, its possible to safe kontrol settings before reinstal il2 to other HDD? At the moment its full, I have IL2 GB on the main disk, but I have purchased a larger internal HDD (3.5) and I would like to have it only on IL2, is it possible to install il2GB on this disk, and return the stored settings and control settings? What should I back up before? Thank you Eagle _ Shifter
AndyJWest Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 (edited) Unless you are using Steam, you can simply copy the entire game folder to the new HDD, and then create a new shortcut. If that isn't practical, you need to copy the game/input and game/luascripts folders, to keep your settings. If you have singleplayer careers you want to copy data/career. You will also want to save any skins or missions you have installed yourself. Edited March 23, 2020 by AndyJWest

And if you have installed custom skins then it is advisable to copy the skins folder too.
