JG26_Jobbo_Fett Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) Hello fellow pilots, Right off the bat I want to say that this will be a little confusing. The reason why I say this is because there is currently another group recruiting for their JG26 "Schlageter" group (Over here http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/992-jagdgeschwader-26-schlageter/). I, and the other pilots in my virtual squadron, are from a very old squadron that traces back a long way. Currently, we fly 1946 and run, or otherwise participate in, campaigns running SEOW along with HSFX 6.0. Anyone is welcome to check us out, and join our campaigns, over at http://jg26.proboards.com/. We would certainly like to keep our JG26 tags for BoS, but we were not the first ones to post. I have sent a message to JG26Hans_J_Marseille and would love to work in a compromise. Either by keeping our old tags or by adopting his suggestion and using Stab/JG26 for BoS. I hope that the development for this game goes well, and to see you all in the (un)friendly skies. ~S~ Cheers Edited December 4, 2013 by JG26_Jobbo_Fett
Stray Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Hey Jobbo_Fett to help out, JG26 tag was registered here as a first one, by EZ. Knowing EZ left you guys and formed new unit, the tag still belongs to JG26 "Schlageter" and it doesn't matter who registered it. The tag registered was "JG26_". Wether you pick it back up or change to Stab is your call, nonetheless we are happy to see old dogs like yourselves finally here.
JG26_Jobbo_Fett Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 Hey Stray, How would we go about "claiming" that registered tag? Haven't really checked out much on this forum, so haven't been too aware on where to look to do it. ~S~
334th_L0C0 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 It's just an honour system. No one says you can't, so there's no place to find it. S~

Allons Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Just to keep this interesting thing rolling: Stab/ZG26- is already in use..
JG26_Jobbo_Fett Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 Just to keep this interesting thing rolling: Stab/ZG26- is already in use.. Hey, It's only about the JG26 tag, but we'll make sure to provide you guys air cover ~S~
JG26_Jobbo_Fett Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 And who knows, if I can get my hands wrapped around (or forced onto) some skinning files + methods of implementing them in-game, maybe I'll make some skins for the game for all manners of JG26, KG26 and ZG26 aircraft ~S~
ACG_Dickie Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) This is what happens when you try to 'claim' an entire Jagdgeschwader, an organisation which contained at least 150 pilots, for a handful of you. ACG has around 40 active pilots in our Luftwaffe faction and we only 'claimed' the II Gruppe, as 4, 5 and 6. http://www.aircombatgroup.co.uk/squadrons/squadrons.php Edited December 27, 2013 by Osprey

This sort of thing happened in the original Il-2 Sturmovik as well.
LtCasey Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Greetings from II/Jg77. Happy new year to you guys. Hope to see you soon in here. Srnd greetings to Dennis.
ACG_Dickie Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Fair enough Jobbo, but in my experience those differences are enough to keep things separated completely. I suppose it depends on what 'work with' means though, agreement on tags or a full on merge?
