hames123 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Lets start a campaign for a Ju87B or Ju87R, so we are play a Stuka campaign from the Battle of Moscow to the Battle of Stalingrad, and if you survive that long, defend Berlin(although I prefer playing dead is dead so I will probably not lst that long anyway).
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 What about filares of smoke which touch clouds. I read about that in many books or see on vintage films from that times. Smokes from burning small object (plane, truck etc) should have real proportion, imagine burning petrol... This is what i call immersion and drive towards real representation of those days combat environment. Plus navigation tips, area to hide and obstacle to deal with. One word great stuff!
Cybermat47 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 So what do charred corpses have to do with this?
Scojo Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 So what do charred corpses have to do with this? He wants there to be burnt and mutilated remains of his foes lying across the ground/cockpit that also emit smoke
Feathered_IV Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 I think it was just a bit of gallows humour. Nothing to get upset about. There was no mention of it after the title of the thread.
Dakpilot Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Does a destroyed truck not burn for more than a minute already? certainly more than 10 secs Cheers Dakpilot
Feathered_IV Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 From my window I can see a small truck parked across the street. I'm thinking of setting fire to it later to see how long it burns for... 1
Scojo Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Does a destroyed truck not burn for more than a minute already? certainly more than 10 secs Cheers Dakpilot For completely destroyed vehicles, it might be 10 seconds. Wounded vehicles? Them suckers smoke long enough for me to make several strafe runs in an IL-2... and that's a long time. It takes me longer than 10 seconds just to get turned back around at a good orientation for a second strafing run. Actually, I'm not sure a wounded vehicle stops smoking until it eventually dies from the inevitable explosion. At least every vehicle I've wounded to the point of smoking has eventually died, whether from me hitting it again or it destroying itself after awhile.
Zappatime Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 Coupled with the option to user-set the time smoke and or crash debris remains, I'd like to be able to see the mission continue after I've been shot down/crashed a la il2 original, rather than it going immediately back to the hanger.
Scarecrow Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 The charred corpses part of the title was as noted just a little bit of macabre humor. I wished the thread title to grab the attention of the reader. I certainly got what I wanted
