Silly Polls And Whiners

Firstly, I am not against anyone raising a legit concern or highlighting a genuine problem. As long as its done correctly.

 

However, as a newbie, im already starting to loose count of the polls and other threads relating to the "C" word. The latest is perhaps the most useless waste of words ive ever seen and was rightly shut down. The previous one was just baffling and self serving..

 

My point is this, when a forum is filled with such the whole environment becomes like McCarthy's America. That, ultimately damages the reputation of the game without good reason and could put new players off trying MP. No new players in MP would be a very dull world of old expert level players indeed. 

 

Concerns about individuals are also routinely put to kangaroo courts. Shouldnt those be raised correctly with the server owners privately? I wonder how many new players over the years have been publicly humiliated for making a simple error? 

 

Any gaming forum is already full of threads about what is wrong and what needs fixing and why this that or the other isnt right, they dont need any further needless (and pointless) negativity surely. 

 

Sometime, its best to take a minute to look round the threads and see where the thing you thought you saw has been raised before - sometimes you just need to admit that your ego exceeds your abilities. Im not saying it doesnt happen or its does happen. Just saying a random poll or public trial isnt the right way to address it.

And members complaining that these subjects have been beaten to death already over the years.

If I see a thread I find irritates me, I just do not follow it and it is quickly forgotten.

Exactly right: I would only add that complaining that other people are starting a new thread about an old topic is like walking into a bar, overhearing two strangers discussing, for instance, dodgy dossiers, and then walking up to them and saying "You should not talk about that, Vlad and I discussed that in here last week".

 

Perhaps if some of the veterans would write an Il-2 wiki, repeat threads would be less frequent, or more easily dealt with. Perhaps.

As UuffLakke, said in CFS forums topics like this is always coming, it was , is and will be a never ending series of topics produced by frustrated members thinking they are gods gift to aviation and therefor it must be cheat, FM or a glitch that make them loose a battle

Welcome to the internets. There are few consequences for silly or douchey actions. At least the admins tend to have a pretty good handle on it around these parts. Just let it slide off a ducks back.

Ok, I've been really frustrated with this game as of late. I play mainly online in WOL server, like everyone else in BoS. There's some really good pilots in that server and that's why people like to go fly there to test their skills. I'm not innocent when it comes to thinking there are cheaters around. Playing in that server you're playing with people all over the world with different pings. Some better than others; skill wise and ping wise. 

 

So when you combine some of the issues with "Russian planes having really awesome ammo and "non destructive" planes with crappy pings, I think you're bound to have players becoming frustrated and yelling cheater. I think I saw people talking about this in another thread of how ping will affect German 20mm. Some say its good, but other say it isnt. I willing to bet this is just a netcode issue. Only fix is to stop playing in Wings of Laggerty.

 

I've gone back and watched some flight records after thinking, "WTF just happened there", and observed some issues. Watch this quick video:

 

 

So when that day comes when we don't have to fly in WoL server anymore, and we get the population to play in a North American server and I'm still yelling CHEATER. It just comes down to me being a whiny @#$%.

@Fern there is nothing to do with this game online but I think you figured that out by now.

I am going to wait until the Pacific if the devs make it there by then  and see how online internet play,co-ops

and the ME may all be revamped by then.

 

Waiting for the Team Fusion Simulations  ''Cliffs of Dover''  Mediterranean add-on too

 

 

I don't really follow what is going on present day. it will take well over a year for them to get the game to where I want it.

 

I get a few good offline mission packs that I like and I content myself with that considering where the game is now.

It's not that big of a deal.

 

This is a forum. People discuss things on a forum. They're not forming a court or a mob, they're just discussing someone "c-ing". (really? we can't say the word? people really are too sensitive now days. go back to your safe spaces and leave us alone)

 

The decision to ban someone is always the decision of the server admins.

 

As long as the discussion isn't openly "abusive", which is determined by mods and not us, then it's NOT A BIG DEAL.

If you are in North America Fern 9I am in Canada) try-----------

 

Kadin Dedicated server

 

It runs really well with nice missions and AI and you won't suffer lag or severe packet loss like in your videos.

 

Kadins missions are good but there are sadly not many playing in it from North America.

 

You won't get much better than that for online play
