Career/Campaign ground attack missions

The air war on the Eastern Front was normally a low level affair, with both sides flying large amounts of ground support missions. However, in the current campaign, there is only 1 such mission, with friendly troops being attacked by tanks. However, usually, the Russian AT guns are more than able to kill all the German tanks with extremely low losses themselves, making the mission somewhat redudant. This is mainly due to the German tanks having lighter armour, and the Soviet guns being more powerful. However, there is a pathing problem with the German tanks, in that they tend to crash into each other, or expose their flanks without a reason to. Hopefully, the devs will look into this soon, and maybe fix the problem. Furthermore, given the large range of targets that might require being hit, CAS missions should also have you bombing houses occupied by enemy troops, AT gun positions friendly troops are attacking, and possibly conducting sweeps with you flight, to attack enemy troops moving to the front and their tanks at rest.

Hopefully, this and an increase in ground activity(some tank battles or artilery duels, and maybe other such flight conducting similar missions on other parts of the battlefield) and AAA, will make for intresting(and short) Stuka and Sturmovik careers.

The campaign is being replaced with a new one.

Yes, my biggest wish for the new career is unpredictable events during the flight, like observing a group of friendly troops being attacked by enemy tanks, or an enemy bomber flight bombing a supply depot, to make it seem like there really is a war going on.

For example, when attacking an airfield, you might see a Ju52 medievac taking off, or spot transports landing to drop off supplies in the pocket.

pretty much means death if I stay around for more than the initial pass.

.

Real life pilots on all fronts had similar observations regarding attacking airfields. Be it due to AA or otherwise.
