BornToBattle Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) ...that's the Windows dialogue box I get after quitting BOS and trying to go back into it after shutting it down. Oddly, when I go to task manager it shows that no applications are running. Nothing showing on my task bar either. The only way to go back to game is to restart the machine. Anybody else find this happening? UPDATE: Don't have to restart machine, I can go into Task Manager in W10 and end the launcher task from there. But when one presses "Exit Game" shouldn't that shut it all down, including the launcher? Hmmm... Edited January 11, 2017 by BornToBattle
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 you can run the game without the launcher to avoid these issues.just keep in mind that when an updates comes you will need to run the launcher Also Alt f4 is not Quitting. If you select Exit in game then close the launcher X it will close the process also
JimTM Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) In the past, selecting the "Seed when downloaded" option and clearing the "Prefer web distribution" option in the "Settings" tab of the launcher screen has caused the launcher to remain running once the game is closed. You could try clearing the "Seed" option and selecting the "Prefer" option and see if that helps. Edited January 11, 2017 by JimTM
BornToBattle Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) Thanks! I'll give these things a go later today. I do know that without going downstairs and looking at it that the seed option is checked so that's one thing to try. Edited January 11, 2017 by BornToBattle

If you run into the problem after an update, look at the two check boxes. It hasn't happened to me lately, but in the past the check boxes have reverted back to the default after an update. It hasn't happened to me lately, but in the past the check boxes have reverted back to the default after an update. Good deal! Hate when stuff like that happens but oh well. I keep my own little notebook for tips on stuff like this. Sometimes it's the little things that can just drive a person to much hair pulling when the fact is it's as simple as checking or unchecking a menu box but if a person doesn't know...argh! Great forum, thanks again.
