BornToBattle Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Ran a search but some items seemed to be a little dated and din't know how much the new 2.006c update affected flight modeling/inputs so I thought I'd throw this out there. This all got started the one time I decided to takeoff in a MIG-3. Forget it. And according to the other posts I'm not the only one struggling. That got me to thinking about the slider values for roll, pitch and yaw within the sim settings. I'm using CH Products stick, yoke and peddles. My theory is that if my values are out in left field then I'm just chasing my tail in getting these aircraft to behave correctly via my inputs. However, if I'm in the ballpark then it's just a matter of honing my skill sets. So using the following format as in game, what do you people find works the best. So far it's been an exercise in futility for me, particularly yaw. Feel free to copy and paste the following: Roll Sensitivity: Dead Zone: Center: Dead Zone: Edges: Pitch Sensitivity: Dead Zone: Center: Dead Zone: Edges: Yaw Sensitivity: Dead Zone: Center: Dead Zone: Edges: I'll thank everyone in advance for taking their time to help. Being new here, I've plowed some money into this series in hopes of keeping 1C and 777 moving forward and just would like to know that at least my input values are correct - it's just the pilot that sucks for this and future modules! Thanks again and happy flying!
TP_Jacko Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Did you really mean one time tried the MiG. How about other aircraft. I can check my settings tonight
BornToBattle Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 Did you really mean one time tried the MiG. How about other aircraft. I can check my settings tonight No, not just once but after reading the forums and the slew of info out there I have yet to get about 3/4 of the way down the runway without looping at the slightest touch of rudder input. I'll keep trying but want to know if my values are off in regards to the sensitivity and dead zones. I have taken off in other a/c and things seem to work fairly well. Just got this IL series two or three days ago so I'm just diving into the different aircraft. The IL2 seems pretty predictable in regards to takeoffs and I have managed the same with the P-40 at times. The settings I have for the yaw are: Sensitivity: 80% Dead Zone: Center: 24% Dead Zone: Edges:0% My values for roll and pitch are vastly different than for yaw.
