SCGSalty64 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Stupid question I guess. Just purchased Battle of Kuban. Checked out the G4 in quick mission. I didn't have the Ju 52. I thought that the collector planes would be included with the purchase. So I guess I misunderstood? You have to purchase that aircraft separate?
Yogiflight Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Yes, you are right. The Ju52 is not part of the BOK planeset. You have to purchase it seperately, like the Yak-1b ser.127, if you like to have it.
ShamrockOneFive Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Two Collector Planes do come with Battle of Kuban by the way: Spitfire Mark Vb and Hs129B-2 are the Collector Planes for that title. The Yak-1B and Ju52 as Yogi pointed out are entirely separate.

Asgar Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 i wonder how so many people can buy BoK without taking a single look at the store page
No601_Swallow Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Gents, here's some shocking news: people are human. For instance: I somehow managed to buy BoM with my DServer account. After some initial panic, I realised my Dserver account as abe to "gift" BoM to my main account and all is now well. But in my purchase history (for my main account) it still looks like I never bought BoM! Like I said: human. 1
Yogiflight Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 It might also have to do with the fact, that it it might not be that easy to understand for new players, what the difference between 'Collector Planes' and 'Collector Planes' is. Perhaps Jason should think about naming one of them in a different way. Why not name the two additional planes of BOS/BOM/BOK 'Premium Aircrafts', as they are the main difference between 'Standart' and Premium' Version.

I don't know if they could make it that much easier. The store clearly breaks down what comes with what product. The only confusion is that the Yak-1B and Ju52 are in the same section as the rest of the Collector Planes. They just aren't bundled. It's Standard by the way (I see lots of forum posters putting a t on it). #nitpick
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) Collector planes are named that way because they can be purchased seperately threw the store without requiring any of the content packs. Some of them are bundled in the premium editions while some arent, but that doesn't change the fact they still work basicly the same. Looking at the store the very first content note on the BoK page is this: - 2 Collector Planes (Spitfire Mk.VВ and Hs-129 B-2) It definetly could be made nicer but it's not that hard to figure out what content BoK contains. Yogiflight Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 But nevertheless this was, IIRC, the third time, that exactly the same question was asked. So there seems to be some misunderstanding.
ShamrockOneFive Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 There are some folks who spend a lot of time obsessing over the details of everything before they do something (myself) and other folks who I have come to know (and love) who don't and tend to be a little more impulsive. Maybe they can try and make it more obvious but I doubt it will stop some folks being a bit confused by it. There's always someone and for those people we just help them out as best as possible.
216th_Jordan Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 I understand the logic so far as every plane except Ju-52 and Yak-1b belong to a certain Module.
SCGSalty64 Posted January 8, 2017 Author Posted January 8, 2017 Wow some controversy. As it happens I did read the BoK info but missed that part. When I purchased BoS and BoM I received the collector planes so I thought along those lines. No big deal just misunderstood the details. I am enjoying the G4 and I purchased the new Yak before so I'm happy. Basically I wanted to Support the sim. 1

This second gen IL-2 series has come a long way since the beginning and you've jumped in at a great moment in the series. The next year is going to see some pretty great things and we already have some really great new stuff having just arrived as well.
