BigPickle Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I've seen on quite a few sims and game that people set there instruments to another monitor or screen how exactly is it done. I have a Nexus 7 that I'd like to display a map or instruments on using idisplay etc. Does it need support in game for it to be done? Regards Bp
71st_AH_Hooves Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 As far as i know that is NOT supported in this engine at this moment.
dburne Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I would love to have the ability to display the map on a second monitor. Kind of keep the main screen cleaned up so to speak. I asked about it some time ago in the questions to developers thread, but did not get a response so I guess for now at least nothing is planned in this regard.

IF you are using a 3 monitor setup it will support that rather nicely I believe you can then drag the map over to the other monitors as far as I know. I thought you were referring to things like device link or the .LUA solution that the DCS series uses to display ONLY instruments on the other screen.
ACG_Kraut Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) I have 3 monitors, but I don't fly with all 3, just one for a few reasons. It would definitely be nice to have the game on one screen, map on another, and front dash instruments on the 3rd screen. Edited December 4, 2013 by [AKA]Kraut

Actually no, I use two screens - my primary to display the cockpit, and the secondary I use for other windows, etc. Some sims, like FSX, one can move certain instruments/maps over to the second monitor.
71st_AH_Hooves Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 ah well there it is then, only works if you are using all of your monitors (3) to make your entire display the game, then you have all that space to move the map. Other wise no you cannot. I have the same setup as you.
