109 Water Rad -cant assign any button

Firstly, sorry if this has been answered a 1000 times. I cannot find any thread myself that resolves the issue.

 

I have only one spare axis that i use for the stabilizer. The only way I can get the E7s water rads to open/close is to also have this axis operate them. Conversely, I cannot assign buttons for the stabilizer control, only an axis.

 

Is this right? or am i doing something wrong?

That sounds odd - although I have not got into the E7 yet, the other 109s can have their stabilizers set by buttons for sure: that is how I do it.

 

First step if you have not already done it is to empty the control slot for the buttons and axis you want to use and then double check that they have not been assigned to something else. Then try again.

 

I will fire up my copy now and see if I have a similar problem.

Having the same keys bound to Open and Close (110 109) as well as Open/Close Shutter axis seemed to be the issue. Putting them on the open close shutter works perfectly.

Which is odd because I have that as well - at least using the default assignments, which work as advertised. Just tried my E7 and Alles is in Ordnung.

 

Anyway glad you have that sorted: the E7 flies very nicely based on my quick train strafe and circuit, much less squirrely than the Fs, deserves some stick time for sure.
