Mad Catz Fly 5 - Not Working in Game

Hi,

 

I recently picked up IL2 Sturmovik BoS on steam, however haven't had the chance to give it a go as my joystick doesn't work in the game.

 

It's selected as the input method but when i'm in game it does nothing, its like it's dead, is there an in game calibration or something so I can see whether any input is being received by the game?  Or maybe some game profile I need to download for it?

 

The joystick works fine in other games such as DCS, flight simX, etc.

 

I run Windows 7x64 SP1 and have Mad Catz driver 7.0.24.4 installed.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

The last driver I installed from Mad Catz made my system boot into blue screen. So much for that.

In case this helps anyone... I had a steering wheel connected to the PC as well, as soon as I disconnected it sturmovik was able to see my joystick, I configured it, tested it, then quit.  Reconnected the steering wheel, restarted sturmovik and it's still working.
