Victor_Chevic Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 I just set up CH rudder pedals and while they work ok, there is an issue that I would like to correct, if possible. Previously (before I got rudder pedals) my joystick was set up so that when you moved it from side to side, not only did it control the ailerons, but the rudder as well. I didn’t set it up that way, it seemed to be that way as a default setting. This was just as well, because I found it much easier for taxiing, take offs and landings than trying to use keyboard keys for directional control, which I found to be impossible. Now that I have rudder pedals, however, this is not necessary and is actually a hindrance in some situations. I went into “settings” and deleted all rudder control assignments from my joystick (joystick 0, as the game calls it. The rudder pedals are referred to as “joystick 1”), but the rudder still works in unison with the ailerons, even with no rudder control assigned to the joystick. I went into the realism settings and unchecked the box for “rudder assist” and that didn’t fix the problem either. Like I said earlier, it works ok the way it is, but without full independent rudder and aileron control it can still get a bit “dicey” on take offs and landings and slips are impossible, along with cross wind operations. Is there a way to remedy this situation?
