If I remember correctly, it had something to do with the airfields taxi routes. If they or the airfield was configured correctly the 'forced landing' message ceased. Thanks for the hint. I will check if this fixes the problem. 1 1

Juri_JS Posted September 14, 2020 Author Posted September 14, 2020 Other changes will be necessary too. Ivan's War was one of the first campaigns done for BoX and is now a little outdated. I think I will release an update once the next game patch is available. 3 3

Juri_JS Posted September 18, 2020 Author Posted September 18, 2020 (edited) I've uploaded the new version. http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/download.php?view.940 Changes: - Campaign missions are now compatible with game version 4.501. - Fixed incorrect "forced landing" message in debriefing screen. - AI aircraft will now return to base when damaged. - Corrections to some waypoint settings. - Lowered enemy bomber skill to make gunners less deadly. My other campaigns have been updated to game version 4.501 too. Edited September 18, 2020 by Juri_JS 3 1
Thad Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 What did you discover that corrected the unwanted "forced landing' message?

jollyjack Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Juri, thanks, just reinstalled it, as with Kalinin ...

vonGraf Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Just flew the first mission; everything went well so far. But I had no red/blue frontlines on the briefing map which I use as a map during the flight.

unreasonable Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 This is an outstanding scripted campaign, that everyone should be forced to play by their squadron commissar. I have played quite a few, of which some are of close to equal quality, but so far none better. There is even an film full of dad jokes about the campaign somewhere on the www, although that is not the fault of Juri_JS. Play this campaign or be executed by firings squad. Encourage Juri_JS to make lots more! Or be shot!

Madov Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 I have had this campaign on my drive for such a long time and only now just completed the most recent version. This campaign is a tour de force and has given me a new liking for the Yakovlev fighters. Well crafted and carefully choreographed there is a lot of replay value here. Well done on an excellent piece of work. 1
Skaska Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 How do I finish Mission 2? Do I have to shot the whole convoy by myself? Is the complete convoy to be killed? My KI mates dont hit anything and I dont have enough ammo to shoot it all.

I never create missions that can only be completed when achieving a certain number of kills. 1

ragvard Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 This campaign is nothing but amazing and i recommend it to every beginner like me. The missions are very well crafted and i love the short flight times, because i am still getting shot rather often. The yak is pretty forgiving to fly and this evening i got my first ever fighter kill with it! Thank you so much for this awesome sp experience! 1 1
ubik_2008 Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 (edited) I guess I have an installation problem with this campaign. I wanted to start it over again but following 4.601 here is how it looks like: I downloaded and installed rev.n 01 of the campaign but nothing changed. Oh, and of course missions fail to load. Any ideas? Edited May 10, 2021 by ubik_2008
ubik_2008 Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 Resaving took quite some time but it worked. Thank you!
jollyjack Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) Juri, i wanted to vote you up on Allies and Axes .... doesn't seem to work? PS i was logged in and disabled pop up blockers there ... Edited May 11, 2021 by jollyjack
ubik_2008 Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 This campaign is so good that I decided to refly it after a couple of months since my first time, so my upvote to @Juri_JS. What I appreciated most is the historical accuracy, a major improvement over the somehow repetitive stock Stalingrad campaign. Thank you again! 3 1
Juri_JS Posted December 11, 2021 Author Posted December 11, 2021 I've updated the campaign to game version 4.701. Changes: - Adjusted weather and waypoint settings to the new clouds. - Added some minor adjustments and improvements. http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/e107_plugins/download/download.php?action=view&id=940 4 9
Avram Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 (edited) Just finished the campaign. The Yak 1 is one of my favorites. Nice campaign. Thanks for all the work, Juri Edited February 11, 2022 by Avram spelling icorrect 1
Juri_JS Posted March 15, 2022 Author Posted March 15, 2022 Is the option to skip the image at mission start still working for anyone after update 4.703? For me the latest update broke it.
Juri_JS Posted March 24, 2022 Author Posted March 24, 2022 Skipping images should work again after hotfix 4.703c. 3
Juri_JS Posted September 9, 2022 Author Posted September 9, 2022 The 5.001 update has partially messed up the skin assignment in the campaign so an update was necessary: http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/e107_plugins/download/download.php?action=view&id=940 I've also done some minor adjustments to the time of the day in some missions, because of the changes to light conditions during dusk and dawn in one of the earlier updates. 6
Juri_JS Posted October 13, 2022 Author Posted October 13, 2022 The latest update once again broke the skin assignment, so an update of the campaign was necessary: http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/e107_plugins/download/download.php?action=view&id=940 Moreover there are minor improvements to some of the missions. 2 7
Lonik91 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 A quick comment in 2025 on this very great campaign for potential newcomers wondering whether it’s still worth playing or up to date. In short—yes, it absolutely is! I revisited IL-2 Sturmovik nearly 10 years after my last flight in IL-2 1946, and I thoroughly enjoyed returning to WW2 flight simulation with Ivan’s War campaign. The story is well-written, allowing for deep immersion in the conflict at Stalingrad. Ivan’s Diary does an excellent job of conveying the progression of the war and the emotions of the soldiers—where everyone knows that only the lucky ones will make it back in one piece. It was also very enjoyable to follow all the battle of Stalingrad as it was also a way to learn more about this phase of the ww2. The missions avoid feeling repetitive, and I especially want to highlight the excellent mission progression. At first, everything seems under control, but as the Germans advance toward Stalingrad, total chaos gradually takes over. A special mention goes to Missions #7 and #8. 2 1
