WWGeezer Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 So how many trains running is too many? I have a mission with multiple train targets, can stagger them so only one train runs at a time or I could run multiple trains Do they consume less resources sitting versus rolling? Could have some running some sitting Any Suggestions?
Gambit21 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Not sure how many, as that's a moving target. However you could pipe them into 'check player' or 'complex trigger' MCU's so that only the trains within a certain radius of the player are active.

For testing with only myself in the server I start up everything and check that Tick Delay is no higher than 4 or 5, (2 to 3 best) with SPS holding in the 49-50 range. That would also include any artillery, anti-tank vs tanks and tank vs tank battles which do indeed take a good amount of CPU. Stagger everything if you know where the players will be and what they will trigger. Even more so if you don't. Make sure that all stationary artillery, flak etc... is on a activate/deactivate check or proximity zone cycle. Good Luck, Tip 1
