Questions..full real servers...cem etc

Hey guys..new here..long time COD flyer...how many FULL real servers are there...like the ATAG one for COD...when I say that I mean no minimap routes or GPS...no auto pitch or rads on aircraft that did not historically have it...basically I want to fly in a server with people that fly properly...no 'gamers'...where do I go?

I have had BOS on my pc for a few days and have just been setting things up visually and control wise...have not flown more than a couple of circuits to just familiarise myself with the aircraft...as expected, I suck, and the sim is very different to COD in the way the aircraft feels...no better...no worse...just different. ANy good advice for a newb?

When it comes back up try Tactical Air War. It should be what you want.

Thanks Spaceman...is TAW down?...Also, isn't that a server that only has set events where you must elect a side and stay with that? I have no aversion to that just wanted to know

TAW is my favorite but Random Expert+ is also rather nice. :)

Wings of Liberty is the popular server at the moment. It is honestly closest to atag. Its full real except unfortunately has gps. The missions are straight forward. TAW and ded are very good servers but you have to fly supply missions to replenish your hangar. They have no gps so thats a plus.

DED Expert is a good choice and my personal favorite.

What is the difference between each of them?

There's a lot of small differences but generally it's like this:

Random expert+: A moving front line that the players help move their way by completing objectives. A restricted amount of points that the player earns so he can fly different plane with different payloads. To go and throw your life away is not advised since you lose many points and can only fly worse aircrafts.

Tactical Air War (TAW): Same as above but instead of a point system the planes are based on the time period as well as player performance. It start off with early planes and during the campaign more advanced stuff arrives for the players. It's also pretty restrictive towards how many of a certain plane you can have, for example sometimes during a campaign you can only have a single FW 190 and if you lose it you need 3 successful combat missions to earn a new one. This system makes players even more careful not to waste their lives and planes away then on Random Expert.

To the OP: TAW is similar in design to storm of war, which you should be familiar with. Like SOW, it has campaigns that run until one side wins. The server then goes down for a while and then restarts.
