MSFF a little more "buggy" after 2.006?

Hi,

 

I use and love my MSFF. Its always been a case, in both CLod and BOX that alt-tabbing messes up the FFB and sometimes requires a further few Alt-Tabs to re-engage. This fault also occurs when i alt-tab from the hanger before starting a mission. 

 

Since 2.006 however, it seems that even without alt-tabbing the FFB can be faulted when the mission starts. Normally this would not bother me but i have now noticed that quite often, trying the alt-tab method to reengage the FFB correctly completely removes the controller from the game until the game is restarted. There is also a tenancy for the the game to crash but this is less regular.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this or have their own particular routine to  re-engage the stick?

When you have issues with MSFFB - shaking stick, no FFB on 1 axis or both axis, strong centering without airflow over control surfaces etc. Hit escape and then go into the menu where you change your key bindings.

Don't make any changes in there, escape back out and it will re-initialise FFB for the stick.  If you are holding the stick when you exit the settings menu you will feel the FFB "reset".

 

Usually fixes any problems first go. On some occasions, I need to repeat it twice but that is extremely rare.

No problems.

 

Just to be clear, I use the menu for key assignment, not the one with the FFB settings checkbox.

The FFB check/uncheck never worked well for me.
