People that ordered, did you just use the official Virpil site? I've been waiting for the T-50 to come back into stock on Amazon.uk but it's not happening.

Yes the official site.

I should be home waiting for me when I get back!

Merry Christmas brother, enjoy your newfound precision. I could fly the (real) glider with this thing, you'll enjoy it.

Can you link the video, I'm trying to find all the info I can!

Does anyone have measurements for the mounting bracket? Looking for the distance measurement from the vertical piece that rests against the front of the desk to the clamp screw.

Hope so! Ordered a set of Crosswinds too so it will all be a bit of a culture change from my ch gear. Just reading through the huge thread on the ed forums.

Well then you are certainly in for a double treat!

I have been flying with my Crosswinds for right at 2 years now and absolutely love them!

Hard combo to beat!

I ordered mine on December 6th, but so far I received no update on status of my order. So I'm waiting. Real shame since I was hoping to give it a try during Christmas holiday, which is the only time I have enough time to dedicate to this hobby.

You could try sending an email to cyph3r to see where it is:

I had a conversation with him 2 weeks ago. Will probably contact him again soon.

Yes I have found him to be very responsive and helpful.

I would not hesitate to contact him again right away.

After all, sometimes the squeaky wheel does get the grease.

Just before Christmas he was saying it took a couple of weeks from order to dispatch, but that could have slipped if they've had a lot of orders.

I ordered on Nov 27 and it just recently shipped, so yours might still be processing.

You'll get an automatic email once the status of the order updates.

If they are taking a month now mine should turn up about the same time as my Crosswinds!

I guess I called it, because this morning I got an email confirming it was sent. Now it will only take time to get it across border.

As I anticipate my T-50's arrival either later on today, or tomorrow, I created an editable PDF form for the button layout. You can get two short lines of text in each box. The large box at the top is only one line for naming your set-up/simulation.

I finally received mine yesterday. Total number of days from order to receipt was 43, 23 of them in the mail system. Only had time for a cursory check last night, but I like what I see. I'll report back later after I get it set-up. I guess I'll be ringing in the new year flying about.

Check the email in which you got confirmation that status changed to sent. Right beneath the text: "Your order status is: Sent" there should be a set of numbers and letters that you can put into EMS tracking (since thats the shipping option I got) and I can track it.

Glad you finally got it, be sure and let us know your impressions after you have some flight time in with it!

Mine already left Minsk, so I'm guessing a few more days to arrive and go through US customs.

Yes, shouldnt take too long now. I had it faster because delivery from Belarus to Poland is like a a delivery from Canada to US. So which model exactly are you getting if I may ask ?

Okay, first impressions of the T-50 flightstick. First off the package was not damaged at all, inside the base came loose in the box, probably due to the weight, however, it was wrapped in bubble wrap so no damage. The grip itself looks very good, moldings are top-notch and the fit is excellent. The grip came with an extra hand rest, the base came with the two sets of cams and springs, along with 4 screws for the cams. Given some folks have stripped these screws changing cams it was nice to see these enclosed. Base has the medium spring and soft-center cam installed. I did not purchase the mount as I did not want the center mount. This unit is definitely not suited to desktop use so I had to devise a mounting method. You can see how my Warthog was mounted in the first picture, not elegant but it served my purposes, my X-55 was mounted the same way but mounted up one drawer on the desk. Virpil does not recommend mounting by the base, so to the drawing board I went. Couldn't put my hands on any aluminum so I opted for wood mount. I have a small wood shop so plenty of material to work with. The next two pictures show the Mongoose mounted and there is absolutely no play in the mounting. For comparison the last pic shows my Warthog w/a 10 cm extension next to the Mongoose. The Mongoose is slightly taller, it is a big stick. With all that completed I plugged it in and heard that nice "USB Device Connected" beep. When I fired up BoS it instantly recognized the stick and offered to load my old Warthog settings. I have only configured pitch/roll/trigger so far as I was itching to get into the sky. I'll follow up with my first flight experiences after some more flight time.

Be-careful with 5 pin connectors as these rotate and you must line up with out force . Both on stick and the base . Its not like warthog where these are screwed into place . So far loving my setup needs some tweaking change out cams i think .

The only gripe i have is the stick is too far away from desktop i think the bracket could be halved as there is not a lot of movement in stick to actually fly .

Wow, that's a pretty tall stick. I have a feeling I'm not going to use the extension kit I ordered at all.
