Announcing Project VPC MongoosT-50

That's worrying. I use the trigger only for changing bomb/rocket salvo's, but have always thought it looked a bit flimsy, and because I have to pack the stick away after flying the trigger is quite vulnerable. I wonder how hard it would be to fabricate one out of aluminium, which of course could cause its own issues with the surrounding plastic...
I would be tempted to order a few triggers as spares depending on price, I want this stick to last several years for the price.

Yeah I have not yet heard back from support - hope to soon, but think I will inquire on spares also.

 

Well going into game and see if I can figure out what best to assign cannons to now - ugh.

 

Edit: Nothing really works quite like that flip down trigger, having a second trigger is huge and one of the reasons I bought this stick.

This way don't allow fire Cannon only - outside of convergence range fire MG and Cannons is waste of ammo.

Yes I could but find that to be a big waste of ammo. Much more conservative and useful to have them separated out.

I can take care of bombers for the most part with MG as all we have to do is get them to drop their bombs, I try to save the cannon rounds for fighters.

Ugh not having much luck with cannons on another button, flew right into the trees during a soft target attack mission trying to use that way, only 2nd mission in the new career I had to start. Pilot was captured and is history. Little awkward trying to use that way. I needs my flip trigger.

Virpil had me send a pic of the broken trigger, they are going to get a replacement sent out.

A few questions:

 

I had an account in the "old" shop already (when I bought the T50 stick and base), it doesn't work in the new EU shop so I created a new account. Now in the new account with the same details as before, it doesn't show any previous orders. How should I place my order and get the discount ? Just place the order now aor should i email supprot for a code ?

 

Also any idea on expected delivery dates yet ?

After launching our new webstores yesterday, unfortunately we experienced some issues both on the EU and Belarusian sides of our stores.

 

First, we would like to clarify the new stores and what they are intended for:

• www.virpil.by - This is our Belarusian webstore intended to serve our EuAsEC customers only (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia). The prices shown here include Belarusian VAT (20%).

• www.virpil-controls.eu - This is our new EU webstore and warehouse based in Lithuania. This store can only dispatch to EU customers. These prices also include EU VAT, and orders will be delivered directly to your door rather than requiring customs clearance.

• www.virpil-controls.by - This is our main webstore, again based in Belarus. However it is intended to serve all other customers around the world not previously covered by the previous two stores. The prices shown here are listed without any VAT to ensure our international customers get the best price possible. Any orders (as was previously) will pass through your country’s local customs office and may be subject to additional local taxes.

 

Secondly we’d like to update the status of our new webstores:

 

Unfortunately, we encountered some issues with our payment gateways on all webstores. Our www.virpil.by and www.virpil-controls.by webstores were using our existing ASSIST payment gateway integration as we’ve done previously. Unfortunately they have encountered to system issues which they are working to resolve ASAP. These issues are:

1. There are difficulties accepting payments from certain countries as reported by our customers. The exact list of countries affected is being clarified and we hope to have resolved with ASSIST within 72 hours.

2. ASSIST’s Mastercard 3D-Secure validation is currently being worked on - as such they cannot process these cards for the time being. We will be updated with news regarding this ASAP.

 

There was also a bug where attempting to register on www.virpil-controls.by redirected to www.virpil.by instead, causing some confusion. This has now been fixed.

 

Our EU store also encountered a hiccup with our integration regarding the ease of order placements. The EU store is running an entirely new platform which we’re working hard to resolve as quickly as possible.

 

We would also like to request patience from our customers regarding support tickets - due to the issues stated we have been overwhelmed with messages which we are working very hard to catch up with, on top of getting our sites back up and running 100%!

Only reason I'm asking is because I have emailed support for this but (understandingly) haven't heard back and I'd hate it if while waiting for such a response I end up facing an "out of stock" or similar situation.

Is there anyway I could install the MongoosT-50 base on a Playseat chair (or similar) ? Any ideas on how to do this or do you plan on offering an adaptor plate maybe ?

I received the T-50 stick yesterday as promised. I did not get a chance to set it up yet (NHL Playoffs), but it looks every bit as amazing and well made as expected.

Can i ask what people are using in terms of  SPRINGS and CAMs settings that they feel they have a very good experience in this game .

I'm using the soft center cams with the light springs. Good, smooth control. I don't feel the need for any extension with these settings. Also, this set-up works nice for cyclic control in DCS World.

For months now, I have been using soft springs with soft center cams. Also use 150mm of extensions.

For me personally I like this combination the best. 

 

Also keep in mind the feel around center can be fine tunes with the two top adjustment screws.

I received my replacement flip down trigger today from Virpil. Had it installed in moments.

Finally I installed the MongooseT-50 today on my chair (using Monstertyech mounts). Now I can't wait for the throttle (2 weeks !).

 

P.S: any idea how to invert the X axis of the stick ? Since the base is installed backwards. Because i couldn't find a way using Virpil's software. Or should i go through IL-2 settings ?

Production of our new devices is still moving forward as planned, however, we must unfortunately announce a short delay to the estimated release date.

 

This is due to the percentage of the team’s available manpower than has been put into launching and preparing our new production factory, training new staff, the launch and maintenance of our new webstores and payment gateways as well as maintaining our high standards of continued support for existing and new customers.

 

The new availability date will be pushed back by two weeks to 4th June 2018.
