Does the DX11 patch will be SLI ready straight away ?

SLI works ok with DX11.

You can find it here:  https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/7-questions-developers/?p=424300 (you have to look for it)

Anyway, I have a problem in that my SLI doesn't work since the update to DirectX11.  Some people are saying to turn on "AFR" or Alternate Frame Rendering, which uses both GFX cards to render frames, but that isn't SLI, that is just working two cards to do the work of one card which causes an FPS drop.

If SLI on DirectX11 is working fine for BOS/M then what is the profile that I need to make it work?  I have tried everything both in NVidia Control Panel and in-game, but each time my monitoring software tells me my second card is idle.

It's not a huge issue since the game is optimized to such a level that one card can run it at 60FPS on high settings with no lag or issues, but it can't do ultra that well.

Anyone know how to get SLI working like Han said it does?

Jason actually said the profile would be added later by Nvidia for dx11. It was either in the community talk session a few weeks ago or in a text on the forum. I have no idea why Han is saying what you quoted.

Well I appreciate the answer.  Everyone seems to be avoiding this SLI issue like the plague.  I mean the game runs great right now on one GTX770, I can only imagine how much better it could run on two GTX770's :D

I have the same problem, hopefully not too long away.

If the performance is great on one, stick with it, SLI/crossfire can cause more issues with micro stutters. I originally started playing IL-2 BOS with 2x 290x;s I now have one Fury X everything runs how it should and super smooth specially with freesync. Crossfire and SLI is so easy to break and I found just not worth it.

I recommend just getting one card, in the past you needed two good cards to play high resolution games at high refresh rates not any more;

The second card also uses more CPU resources.

Thx, didn't remember this from the Q&A.

BoS is running pretty good now with one card yes.

But some of us have a 4K screen and with one 1080, even if it's working well, I think it could be better in some situation with SLI.

Anyway, I'd like to use my second card ;)

I have 970 SLI with 3440*1440 resolution. One card is not really enough for that so let`s hope Nvidia adds DX11 profile sooner than later.
