Hi I would like to know how to program a key that when i click it my view lean to the gunsight and when I release it it goes back to normal. I read the manual under the camera, I went true the settings and I am lost in translation.

Can I do that? If yes how.

Thank you

What you want is save a snap view to a button. I'm not really sure how to do it, but its possible as already saw multiple pilots using snap views to either check six or the instruments.

Hey dB

If you are talking snap views then the process is pretty straight forward. If you are running default on the views i believe F9 changes the mode (you want centered quick snap o something like that if its a push and hold key) - the number keypad should be set up as the defaults with 5 being the center front.

To create a new one (this is from memory) - Start the game WITHOUT you headtracking gear running (Not sure if you can just turn off TIR in game but better safe than sorry)

Also, slow down the camera speeds. this will help you fine tune the view-you can reset em after.

Pick a number key you know you wont be using (you can change the key later for the one you really want), use F9 to select the mode then use you mouse and the modifier keys (i think Insert, Home, Pg up, Delete, End and Pg down) to fix the view. You might have to keep you finger on the number key throughout.

once your happy -hit f10 and the view is saved.

Or sommat like that - theres a thread somewhere...... Good Luck!

EDIT - Oh - you'll have to do this for each and every aircraft you want it for....BTW

And a happy New Year!

Regards

Thank you for the reply Boo and HNY to you too ;) Sorry but I am kinda stupid with this Pan, Snap and all the stuff. What I am looking for is like in CloD on the 109 you have a buton that you click and your view go into the gunsight click again it go back to normal. I tried your way but fail to do anything or understand how to do it. I manage to move and to save a close up view to the gunsight and press F10 but my view is stock there even when i press F10 again.

hmmm -  i just tried it and it really is easy peasy.........thats not helping you is it?  :-)))

F10 is only the save key - it cannot be used to reaccess the view. thats your selected keypad key (or what ever you assign it to after)

SO - assuming you use defaults

DO NOT switch on the headtracker

Launch game

Enter a mission or something where you are on the ground

Use F9 to cycle mode to "Quick snap view"

Now pick a key on your number pad and hold it down - the view should change

Keep it help down and use the group of six keys that include the home and end keys and you mouse to move the camera to the desired position.

Keeping the number pad key pressed down, hit F10 - you should see a message say "dB your are a genuius, you have saved a view - go grab a beer" - or something like.

That view is now saved for that particular aircraft. when you want to access it again, make sure that you're in the right mode "snap view" and hit the relevant number pad key key.

If you now want to use a joystick button just change it in the set up from the number pad key to whatever you want.

If youre still struggling, ill be on the my team coms (Manus TS) and can talk you though it.

In Settings You have camera control, and the end of the table You can find:

Camera: head-unlinked cocpit.

To back from gunsight You need to press reset camera.

Best Regards :)
