Historically accurate altitude for Parachute Jump?

Is there a range that was considered typical?

Someone in another thread said first training jump was from 250m, with five later training jumps at 120m to get Fallsturmjaeger certification. With that 120m being the typical combat drop height.

 

But, I have no source besides someone saying it in another thread last night

I just read 330ft @ 120mph

This sounds right, my first jump was closer to 1200 meters and those boys where up there for a long, long time.
