=SwiAiF=Maverick85 Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Hey all! Are there any visible gun shells of the german fighters or only the P-40's 0.50 cal shells? regards Janick
Finkeren Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 ??? Didn't quite catch that. What do you mean by "visible gun shells"?
=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Ejected casings I'd assume. I think there are. Don't know for sure.
Danziger Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 I know on the MiG-3 a few fall out. There is the UBS ejection port on the radiator fairing under the cockpit area. The ejection port for ShKas is a little hole in the forward wing root area above the air intake. I have noticed that not much empty casings fall out of the UBK wing pods. Also the ejection port for ShKas should be on both sides but right now it's only on the port side.
ShamrockOneFive Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 There are some that fall out. I'm not sure if its an accurate amount but they are there!
Danziger Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 I'm happy with it. The dumptruck load of brass falling from clod planes can be distracting lol.
=SwiAiF=Maverick85 Posted December 23, 2016 Author Posted December 23, 2016 Ejected casings I'd assume. I think there are. Don't know for sure. Right,, the 109 per example has some ejection ports for bullet casings at underside,, that were a bit more realistic..
Blutaar Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Im not sure and dont wanna spread false information but i think there is no case ejection on 109s, the casings stay inside because of ballance reason i think. The massive A-10 keeps its casings too, there are 1150 rounds or so which would shift the ballance if the casings where ejected. Please correct me if im wrong.
=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 I know they do in the P-39. Don't know about others.
