Influence area inside another

What happens if you activate an opposing Influence area INSIDE an existing influence area.  Does the later override the previous? Do they Neutralize each other?

No. You are just layering one on top of another. It depends on how you connect them together. But you can activate the one area on /off/ on to reset it with the activate/deactivate commands to read the same area multiple times. Hope this helps. Edit: Jim is right, I thought you were asking about checkzones.

Thank you.

The only evidence I have that they work is when a pilot lands or ditches in the opposite influenced area and gets "captured".  I want to create a "Capture Airfield" situation and I need to activate a friendly "influence area" within the enemy bigger influence area with enemy losing influence only around the captured airfield.

I am sure there is a way...resource economical way that is :)

That's a very good idea, but even if the influence area worked I'm not sure it would be an easy task.

So far a taxing idea would be to have two for the enemy. One regular and one with somehow a hole and deactivate/activate when needed, as you said.  Not sure about the resources needed to have an inactive second influence area.  I have found out that inactivity still requires some recourses.
