New Laptop, Just bought the game and it runs on 10 fps?!

I have a new MSI laptop, Setup below, and i just installed BoS for the first time and it keeps a constant 5-15 fps for some reason. i tried playing with all the video setting but no luck. please help? thanks

 

OS: Windows 10

CPU: i7-6700HQ @ 2.60GHz

GPU: GTX960M

RAM: 8GB

Most likely the game is using the onboard CPU graphics instead of the dedicated GTX960M

 

this has been a common issue, make sure that GTX960 is being used in Nvidia settings

 

have not had this issue myself so hopefully someone else can give you the correct instructions

Did you set the System and the video card to maximum performance? But a laptop will have shortcomings compared to a desktop computer, I don't know how much you can expect.

Not weird if you have Vsync on, or have some kind of FPS limiter in power management or performance settings.

Il2-BoX is CPU-hungry, maybe you check if the CPU-frequency is limited or even scaled down because of the strict thermal regime implemented on many Laptops? (Task manger -> more details -> performance -> CPU) I wouldn't expect such a nasty surprise with a gaming notebook build by MSI, but sometimes the devil is a squirrel.
