BlitzPig_EL Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 It wrecked my game. I worked perfectly yesterday, now after the hotfix the game is unplayable. Frame rates down to mid 20s from a Vsync locked solid 60 no matter what last night. Game drops to black screen then totally crashes. I guess their "safe shaders" are not so safe.

Have you rebooted your PC since you downloaded the hotfix EL? 1
BlitzPig_EL Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 It took two reboots, but it seems to be fine now.
Dakpilot Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 It is suggested (at least with Nvidia) that you no longer need to re-boot after installing new drivers However being a bit old fashioned I always still do a re-boot, In Win 10 I have read that restart is better than switching on and then off and also vice versa Never got a serious info to which gives a better "full" re-boot so I do both sounds a pain but less than bad driver install that many do seem to suffer from When I used to spend most of my time flying over hostile areas I always made sure I had three working GPS, modern fighters have triple redundancy so why not me Still suffered a triple GPS failure mind, but only once Anyway long story short I always, after downloading an update, do a re-start before launching the game Modern computers take such a short time to start these days, it is no chore, but if it takes an age, may some housework is needed Cheers Dakpilot 1
