Hey gang,

Having a bit of trouble here. After the release of the SP campaign system by BlackSix and the move to DX11, I decided to go ahead and purchase BOM Premium and BOK Premium Early Access.

Now it has been quite some time since I have even udpated my original BOS install.

So I run the launcher, and the game starts to update with the new content - app 5.26 GB. For much of the download it runs very good and a nice download speed, until it gets around I would say 98-99% of it downloaded.

Then, it slows to an absolute crawl. 50 kbs, 20 kbs, then down around .5 kbs and then 0.

I cancelled out and tried it again, with the  same result. It is now down to .49kbs, and am not holding much hope of it finishing either. I will leave it here a while and see what happens. Left it like that for several hours the last time and it ended up at 0.00 kbs.

Any tips on what to try next, should I maybe just uninstall BOS completely and try and get it all again? Hate to have to try the whole download all over from scratch for everything again, especially if it happens this way again, get almost done then denied.

Anything I may be missing here?

Thanks,

It did the same for me, I opened and closed the launcher 3 times and at the last time it worked somehow. It loaded super fast until the last 20 mb were reached, then it sometimes hit 0.09 kb/s.

Ok thanks, I am just going to leave it for a while and see what happens. Currently running around 30 kbs.

Left it on all night, still no go - stuck downloading the last little bit still at around 4 kbs.

Going to be out of pocket a few days, will have to cancel and try again next week.

Is there any cure for this issue?

Last night tried to download the patch got 95% and the last 5% where on download at 3.5kb/s.

Uninstalled everything and launched the download of the whole client 6.02Gb this morning (around 8 AM) and now I have 95% donwloaded and the last 5% at 3.5kb/s right now (1PM).

This is quite frustrating and I start to believe it will last for ages....

Is it not possible to pause download and restart?

I am sure I remember doing this somehow,  with success in the past

Just got back in late yesterday evening from the holiday travels, will try mine again this morning - will be third try.

Ugh, looks like it is doing the same thing again...

I wonder if it would help to delete all the contents of the update folder and try again?

That is a good start

Ok so at least I successfully got it all downloaded and installed. I deleted all references in the udpates folder to this latest update. Put a tick box in the " prefer web distribution" for the download. It all downloaded successfully and has now installed.

However now it is not launching, when I launch the game I get an error message:

" The program can't start because libcurl64.dll is missing from your computer."

I have tried restarting the computer and still get the same error when launching BOS.

I am running Windows 10 64 bit and it is up to date.

Success! - whew!

There were some dll files in the games folder that their filenames got appended after the .dll with .update.

These were the dll files it said were missing, once I removed the .update to rename them to what they were, it launched just fine.

Back in business again - finally!

That is what I get I guess for going so long without updating the game lol.

Don; don't forget to uncheck the "prefer web distribution" tickbox on your launcher now your game is up to date.

HI,

I'm running into the exact same problem. I'm just now reinstalling the game after being away for over a year. To compound problems, the HDD that I had BoS installed on died, so I had to download from scratch.  I can't seem to find libcurl64 anywhere on my machine. Could you please point out where you found the missing files?

NOTE: my download seems to keep sticking at ~95+%. I let the download run overnight and it hasn't progressed from that position in 8+ hours.

TIA,

HB
