Lanzfeld Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Hello all! First.....outstanding job on the update to DX11. Seriously you are the top in your field! Question.....what exactly do the different graphic levels do? What I am most curious about is the render distance. For example...will I see objects drawn farther out (for bombsight reasons) on "ultra" vs "balanced" setting or is it the same for all levels? I would love to know what each level does. Thank you and merry merry christmas!
BOO Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 I believe the level titles reflect your tolerance to the abuse you will get from you wife when justifying the purchase of a new mid range graphics card LOW - stick with your radeon HD4750 and worry about being cuckold.. Balanced - you should pull off at least a 1060 with some attention being paid to the kids occasionally to lessen the dirty looks High - you have your own room with a lock on the door - a 1070 is a possibility Ultra - your are in a marriage of convenience or you have no wife......or real friends.... but you do have a 1080 and a lucrative sideline in growing cannabis for profit... Regards BOO 2

Regards BOO LOL - Great way of answering I have an i7 3770 3.4 Ghz, 8 Gb RAM, GTX 960 and kan run IL-2 on "High setting with Distant grass, 4x Landscape detail, 4x AA at 60 FPS (Locked). This is in QMB with 16 Aircraft right over Stalingrad. On Ultra I get some stuttering, though FPS does not go below 40 FPS.
dburne Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 (edited) I would love to see the graphics adjustments returned to the way they were in the very early access of BOS rather than the presets. It allowed much more fine tuning of the graphics. Edited December 20, 2016 by dburne
Lanzfeld Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 What about draw or render distance?
Dakpilot Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 I Don't believe the daw or render distance is any different between modes, just the level/quality of detail all people get same spotting distance etc. Cheers Dakpilot
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 GTX780 on FX8350ahh all settings ULTRAGrass X 4SSAO1080P @ 60fps Vsync Constant.IL2 needs little more than a GTX760 to get max frames (60) at ultra details. My problem is i cannot adjust graphics settings.i can only find preselt (low.medmium/high/ultra)There are no option for advanced settings.
Guest deleted@30725 Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 There are no option for advanced settings. Not yet.
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 ok sorry i though this was an old game (5+ years) and that BOS and BOM were more or less just expansions on the old engine.(Re - i never played it but i figured old CoD would have had advanced options that were just copied to BoS and BoM)
