At first, when I clicked on the larger file (also tried the smaller file with same results) I got an endless "Searching for Updates" window. Rebooted the machine and the installer ran but failed to install KB2670838. Seems like lots of people are having this or related issues. Devs, please come up with detailed instructions on how to deal with this.

Devs, please come up with detailed instructions on how to deal with this. OK... never mind. Seems that a second reboot (fully shut down... not just "restart") took care of it.
