Cant start a sim after the update 2.006

I'll install whole game again tomorrow. I havent any idea.

It says both in the error message and in the release notes what you need to do.

Installed - ok, IL-2 works now again without reinstall whole game!

Ok, I have one.

 

I get an error box that pops up when trying to launch BOS 2.006

 

"Can not create Direct3DDevice:

DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED"

 

Sounds like I don't have DirectX 11, but when I run dxdiag, it says I do. 

Sounds like some kind of settings fix I need to do. Any ideas?

I think I figured it out. My graphics card (GeForce 260 gtx) may be to old to support dx 11

the ddl in dxdiag says it supports ddl 10.

I'll mess around a little more with it later. But I think I might need to upgrade my video card.

And a new video card might mean a new power supply etc.

When I try to start the sim. It goes to desktop and I have no key board or mouse function. The game icons on the task bar are showing the game is working. I have to close them and stop the launch process with the task manager.

I use.

GTX 750

Windows 7 sp1

DX11

There is a work around for people using Windows 7. 

It's a known problem. Check it out.

 Also, if you are a Windows 7 owner, you get a free upgrade to Windows 10.

I don't know if that offer is still valid though.
