CisTer-dB- Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 but damage modeling is lagging very far behind. Your quite right, I read on their forum that ED have hired the team behind the DM of CloD. So it will be fair to expect improvement in that department
Lusekofte Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 And a good way not to get annoyed by a bad DM is not to crash
CisTer-dB- Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 And a good way not to get annoyed by a bad DM is not to crash Or don't get shot or not shoot at anyone, but it will be boring isn't it
kestrel79 Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 CloD damage is very good, this is good to hear.
DD_Arthur Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Some friends of mine have recently discovered the joys of online wing walking.
Field-Ops Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 There is something unique to the feeling of flight and the immersiveness that IL-2 brings to the table. DCS is excellent but it's missing a certain something... Either way. It's great that we have Spitfires returning to the lime light a little. Easily one of my favourite aircraft of all time. That certain something is the sensation of flight. The light turbulence that you make minute adjustments to your stick to account for. DCS doesnt have very much of that. They said they would add that in but they are slow at making changes. And like someone else said they lack the units and such but their Normandy map will make up for that.
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Why is everyone so worked up about spitfires?I never understood what it was about them that makes them so special?
Trooper117 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Everyone has their favourites... it's allowed I'm also very keen to get a Hurricane into the game, again, another favourite of mine. On the Russian side, my favourite aircraft is the IL2 and the I-16. German side, The Bf 109E and the 110. American aircraft... always has been the early P-40 B, the early Mustang P-51 B/C, the early P-47 razorbacks. For me it's never about superior performance or the best dog fighter... it's been about the look, the aircraft I used to make when I was a kid etc. 1
=362nd_FS=Hiromachi Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Why is everyone so worked up about spitfires? I never understood what it was about them that makes them so special? Many people would say so about 109, Yak or P-40. People have their own preferences and there is nothing one can do about that. I always had some appreciation for external look of Spitfire, but after spending time in it in DCS I lost most of optimism. It has some obvious flaws that make it hard to play for me. @Trooper117 I see no Japanese there They always seem neglected
Trooper117 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 @Trooper117 I see no Japanese there They always seem neglected Good god, you can slap my wrist, can't believe my manners lol! Goes without saying it's the Zero Fighter, closely followed by the bullish looks of the Ki-44 Shoki... (love the look of that plane)
BlitzPig_EL Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 (edited) When it comes to Japanese fighters, I prefer the Army types, especially the Ki 61. I do have one Navy type that I will fly over anything else from any other nation though... The Kawanishi H8K "Emily". Banzai! Edited January 30, 2017 by BlitzPig_EL
