Noxos Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) Currently I get around ~45 in takeoff when there are lots of other planes around, and it can get as low as 30 during a dogfight with lots of a/c involved. I would've though my rig could handle this game but I guess not? What do I need to upgrade? Currently have: 8 gigs of RAM i5 4690 @ 3.50ghz GTX 970 On Windows 10 and with everything on "Low". IRRE_Centx Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 1st step: wait the DX11 update next monday then maybe you will be able to change something
No_85_Gramps Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 i5 4690 @ 3.50ghz You can adjust the power setting in Windows to make this chip run at 100% full time, which boosts the speed to 3.9 and there is no throttling. Other than that, see what DX11 brings to the game like Centx said. I've been running my 4690 that way for over a year with no ill effects. Got to control panel, system and security, power options. In power options select the high performance option, then click change plan settings, then click change advanced power settings. In the pop-up scroll down to processor power management, click the "+" button then click the minimum processor state and set it to 100%. Also, search the forum for Nvidia settings, lots of helpful advice to tweak your GPU.
Synchro Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 I have the same situation Noxos. My computer performence is: i5 3570K @ 3.40 -> OC 4.20 12 giga Ram GTX 1060 6 Gb in airfield 30~35 fps in air 50~60 fps in combat 25~30 so, only way is to wait for update to 2.006 with DX11
