sulu22 Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Hi. I just installed the game and started to configure key controls. There i found that a lot of functions refer to the same key (Multiple actions on one control) This strikes me as rather peculiar for default key controls. E. g. key_numpad5 is referenced 7 times ! Do i have to resolve all this ambiguities in order to have the game functioning properly? Thanks sulu22
Dakpilot Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 No, by default none of these will conflict and are complimentary The ability to have multiple actions on on key is very handy for example there are several types of trim commands which work on different A/C which can then be all accessed by one command, obviously you cannot fly more than one type at a time however when changing it yourself you will need to avoid conflicts Cheers Dakpilot
Sokol1 Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I have for example center camera POV (in cockpit) in the same HAT corner that move ZOOM out, what give better peripheral vision. "Two rabbits with one stone."
eRoN Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) This thread reminded me of another i saw recently about trim axes, and gave me a realisation, which i tested and works. You can bind the 109 trim axis to the same as your joystick pitch axis, which seems from rudimentary testing and theoretical logic as somewhat of a potential exploit that results in unrealistic energy retention efficiency in the 109 during y axis maneuvers. I am new here so apologies if this is common knowledge, and i haven't tested this extensively so perhaps i am wrong. I am a 109 pilot (and not sure if this applies to other aircraft) but i want things to be historically accurate, and at least this should not be possible even if i am wrong and it makes no difference. Sokol1 Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 "Trim on stick" is a know Bf-109 "exclusivity", used be some in MP duels, like at their time was the "trim on (throttle) slider" of the old il-2 (2001). Although assign the same key/button for more than one function is useful, assign a axis has no practical use other than be used for this exploit.
sulu22 Posted December 10, 2016 Author Posted December 10, 2016 Hi guys! Thanks for you enligthening replies. So i can leave the default settings as long as they don't bother me. Great!

Actually, it helps me a LOT! Siren and airbrakes are stuck together for me when I fly stuka
