How do I upload an image to this forum?

I just don't get it.  I see the icon labeled 'My Media' and when I click it the window 'Your Media Library' shows up.  It has two items, Attachments and a input field labeled 'Search'.  

 

When I click search I thought it would let me browse down tell I found a image stored on my C drive.  But it does nothing.  When I click Attachments I just get a message 'We did not find any results in this category.'

 

There is also an icon of a picture and when I mouse over it - it says 'Image'.   When I click that, up pops a window named 'Image Properties' and it has an input field named URL.  Now I suppose that if I stored an image in a place like PhotoBucket then I could use that URL but even Photobucket does not seem to provide an URL address for an image.

 

So I am at a lose.  Please help.

 

I can see I can attach a file, but that is not putting an image in the post.

The easiest way, I guess, is to upload your images to something like Photobucket and link to them from here with image tags.

Another way to do this, is to click on the button in the lower right, marked "more reply options" (all the way down at the bottom of the page). That enables the "advanced posting" mode, and you get an "attach files" button down below the text box. Choose the image, let it upload, and remember to click the "Add to post" option that will appear to the far right of your image.

 

Have a picture of a mean rabbit, as it was conveniently sitting on my desktop, and I'm too lazy to go hunting for images.

Like mentioned before Photobucket is an option. Unfortunately since a couple of years high rez images will be reduced to max. 1024x1024 size for webforums.

If you want to post larger images you can consider creating an account at Postimage.org.

Also free and very simple to use. You are able then to post screenshots with sizes like 4096x4096.
