Is there any confortable way to look to the yak's fuel gauge on the Wing ? How do you do it ? Any tips ?

If you are using TrackIR, and you don't want to open the canopy, another option is to lean forward/down to look closely at your instrument panel and hit whatever button or key that you have to "center" your TrackIR view. Then, when you sit up normally you will be up high enough to look at the gauges in the wing more easily.

This is actually a good trick for better visibility while taxiing and for scanning the airspace around you in cruise flight. Just recenter before getting into combat/firing!

Thats exactly how I do it.

I also center my view in the 109's that way, leaning to the right, center and then sit straight.

Yep there is a trick!

Fly on Yak-1b, the Soviet engineers solved the issue and you can see the gauge without moving in your cockpit :'D

(but joke aside, all tips were given in the previous posts for Yak-1 ser. 69 :P)

Even without trackIR you can move left (Delete) or right (End) raise seat (page up) and see fuel gauges without needing to open canopy

then recenter view (numpad 5)
