Dogfight and first victory in IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad

Hi all,

Allow myself to introduce myself. I'm Atreides, and like the rest of you I'm a WW2 aircraft enthusiast. In the IL-2 Sturmovik-series, I've played the original game, but also 1946 and especially many hours in Cliffs of Dover.

Having recently heard good things about it, I bought Battle of Stalingrad last week, leading to me registering on this website, and the first impressions of the sim are very positive. My first online-victory in this simulator and the dogfight around it today was great fun, hence I made a video of it.

Enjoy!

Atreides.

To answer your question: Some people in the CloD-community ACG I'm a member of, have been flying BoS with some frequency as of late, so I was intrigued. In all honesty, I had been at first put off by the business model of the game, fearing that BoM was a sign that BoS would be abandoned too soon. Experiences with CloD and the DCS-WW2 kickstarter have made me very wary of this.
However, when I asked these friends on teamspeak about this, they assured me that BoS is now a solid sim as it is, and that there are no signs the development was slowing down (like also shown by the dev diaries). This is why in the sale last week I bought it
