Just saw a question the the FB page. Do you need BOM to play this or is the F2 included in the scripted campaign? If someone only has BOS can they play this DLC?

I do hope the AI will get some attention as the SP modes get new life. The ganging up is getting worse and worse.

It's been reported several times on these forums, but I have yet to hear from any dev if they know about it. That alone would reassure me.

I really like this idea of separate scripted campaigns too, this one is now on my Christmas wish list!

Great idea, Devs !! 

 

I have one concern only.

 

I downloaded Veteran66 missions in the past and they are really great but I had FPS/slow down issues in some missions and it really spoiled the fun.

 

What about performance now ?? What can you Devs tell us about it ?? Minimum specs or something ???

 

Once again, great idea !! Congratulations in the initiative bringing back classic IL2 stuff to us

According me its a very good idea and news !!!

 

 

The new Il-2 BoS/BoM ect needs to have better kind of campaign and approach to this subject (like it was in "old" IL-2 or IL-2 CoD, for example Desastersoft campaigns). Now it's minus in SWOT analysis so Im happy to see this! I very liked RoF campaigns (this payware also):

 

My fingers crossed and I will do the pre order for sure.

 

Just 3 questions:

 

1/ Can we have possibility to set up realism option as we want (like in QMB) or it will be fixed like in official campaign? (for example full CEM, expert, but with external view on = custom settings of realism).

2/ Can we have possibility to add custom skins? (I saw info about extra skin for pre order but what about users skins with his markings ect.)?

3/ Can we earn something in this campaign for the pilot used in missions? Like medals or other awards for our pilot during campaign progress?

Hi Panzer, no it isn't true, it depends from the Country and the low in country where (and how) You want to use it.

It's a something like to prohibit modelers use a decal on the models in 1:72, 48 and 32 scale. For the Devs its a secure solution for sure for the global approach.

It's a completely different subject, so end off topic.

1) and 2) I can't give you an accurate answer because we have not yet completed the development and testing of this mode. We need a few more days.

3) You will have a special window with Campaign Statistics. Creation of historic medals and awards we will end only closer to the release of BoK

The community will be able to create and add their own scripted Campaigns once we explain how the system works in later announcements.

 

 

 

^ This... I think and hope this alone will ignite the offline prt of the community.. this is a huge thing.

Hopefully with a lots of community created campaigns which use resources from BoS, BoM, BoK... might encourage more sales for the different titles... good call and decision not to wait: all things that can increase sales is a big pro

I couldn't agree more. I understand why the aircraft in game have to omit the correct Hakenkreuz emblem in certain countries etc but I wonder if will we ever be able to change or mod the base in game skins at some point in the future?

Free Campaigns created by the community can use whatever skins they want. Payware Campaigns cannot have Nazi symbols etc.

Mate... that's the law for you, but in my country we have different laws. So no, they are not correctly marked for a historically correct German aircraft during the second world war.

Whatever restrictions you like to impose on yourself is fine, but please, don't try to impose those same restrictions on other people.

 

I am not a nazi lover or closet national socialist, but I do like to see aircraft marked historically if at all possible.

That's one reason I'm holding off on my campaign for the moment. Too many changes coming and I won't have time to mess with little issues due to updates.
