I have an idea to bring an AI aircraft down damage to crash near human pilots on take off. Can the force damage mcu do this.

Yes. Set the damage command "Damage Level" field to "Complete".

In the attached mission, you are in an FW190 on the runway. Keep your eyes at 5 o'clock low. In 30 seconds you'll see a Pe-2 "buy it". You'll also see a parachute at your 4 o'clock after the crash.

I've used before in a mission and works well.

Thanks, so the complete damage is the only level. I can use this, would be nice to knock out one engine to get the bomber to struggle home. Maybe make it fly through a wall of flak out of view of the human pilots to give some damage then finish off nearer the friendly base with the MCU

You can set the damage command to "Minor" and trigger it repeatedly to build up damage. Setting the command to "Major" would build up damage faster.

Ah haah i will try that right now. Thanks JimTM

Ok so after a bit of experimentation, 1 major followed by  3 minor damage commands is enough to shred bits off and force a crash landing. This does not damage the engine but is working on the structural strength.

With  a flight of 3 the impact is also variable which I sort of like the randomness so the lead aircraft may not go down first.
