Premium version of BOM on steam???

Apologies if this has already been answered, but my brother has BOS on steam, and since his b'day is coming up he is interested in BOM, however steam only seems to show the standard edition.

Is it possible to get the premium edition of BOM on Steam??

You can buy the premium version of BOM directly on il-2 website, no need to buy it on Steam.

Once you validate the key for premium BOM on website, his version of BOS on Steam will be updated automatically.

 

 

(and additional bonus: if you buy it directly on the website, you give 100% of your money to the Devs... if you buy it on Steam, you give a part of the money to Valve )

The equivalent of that for Steam would be Moscow, then the P-40 and Mc202 collector planes

That is correct.  When you buy BOM on the il-2 website and activate your key, you launch BOS from steam and all BOM content is unlocked and available. Same goes for collector planes.

I kind of understand why they don't go out too wildly about that info: steam is an important platform. U get really good exposure for your business ... and it would be strange if they too vividly tell the customer to circumvent Steam.

I would say that it probably is up to us hard core supporters to spread the word rather than the team(?)

No.

 

If you transfer your BoS key (which is the base game for steam) to steam, you have to run the game with steam. You can't run it anymore as a stand alone. You can transfer your key to a steam key, but you can't transfer a steam key to a normal key. So if you choose to use steam, you can't go back.

But you can still purchase every addition to BOS (BOM - BOK and additional planes) on this website. It will be (once activated in your profile - also on this website-) available in your steam account.
