daliborsky Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 right wing on P-40, Jak-1b and Il-2 shot off, but the plane just banks 90 deg on missing wing and contiunes flying.
216th_Jordan Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 it banks 90° and still flys? For 10 seconds? No really a video of screenshot (rather a video) would be good. If you didn't know: You can record tracks ("Lctrl + R" by default I think) and rewatch them under 'recordings' afterwards. You can then screencapture from your recording.
Quax Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I loose my wings quite often in dogfights, and always crash. So a short vid would help.
JG13_opcode Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 There was a video a while back from an older game version that showed a P-40 making a controlled landing with a great deal of one wing missing. Not all of it, but a significant chunk. Yes, it happened in real life. Yes, it happens in the sim. Does it happen too often in the sim? I don't have any statistics to back it up, but it sure *feels* like it happens too often in the sim.
Dakpilot Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 What the graphics show and what damage the FM are experiencing do not always correspond (although there have been some improvements from early RoF days) It is an issue which can easily be fixed, however there is a penalty in considerably more 3D and coding which will have effects on cost and development time unfortunately there is always a balance of what is possible and financially viable for the customer and Dev It is a rare (but glaringly obvious issue sometimes) problem and has been shown that it did happen IRL, but as said, more than likely less than we experience hoping for some improvement as the 'game' matures of course I may be wrong and the whole thing is just 'porked' Cheers Dakpilot
