Is the servers down today? I cant play the game!

Happy Thanksgiving,

 

 

I wanted to do some flying today in my new BF109 ...but I get an error saying it cannot connect to the Authentication server!

but my network connection is working....nothing has changed from yesterday when it worked fine!

 

So, I cant play the game if it cant connect to the server? come On!

We only have access for 72 hours each week (for now), and access for this week ended a few hours ago.

#2 Your connection to the master server was temporarily lost. Check your internet connection.

 

The only reason I post here is because I cannot in the Bug Report thread. (For some reason It says I cannot)

 

I have updated and followed the proper procedure but cannot get past the password/e-mail screen.

 

Tried the Launcher again, re-tried update again, checked firewall settings, got latest drivers, Windows updates and DirectX, re-downloaded update from my profile and still nothing...even tried the recovery within launcher and still get the same #1 and #2 error!

 

This has been the case since early Wednesday,  I spent nearly all my night trying to sort it out, went to bed and tried again at 6:00 am Thursday morning, same deal....went to work, came home and still the same.

 

Funny thing is, I was telling my buddy about my woes, he has been flying no probs from Monday night right until now, (Thursday night here)  Well, as of tonight he cannot fly either, we live only miles apart, is it location? he got lucky and I did not? (clutching at straws here)

 

Last week I flew the Lagg, admittedly it was a chore as I had all, (and I mean all)  the reported bugs/observations that everyone else had, It took from Monday till early Thursday before I could just jump in and fly. Needless to say the flying was very nice, albeit for a few short hours before the server went down.

 

I know it's Alpha, not complaining, I was, however looking forwards to trying the Lagg again to see the changes, and of course the 109, but I guess it is now too late for that.  Oh! and before someone asks, it is only 6:00 am Moscow time right now. I was trying to connect well in advance of the servers going offline, just like last week.

 

Any help or advice would be most welcome at this late hour, perhaps for next week.  The only thing left that I can think of is a complete uninstall, which I have not see anyone have to do.

Very bas news : I am not at home ( and my PC with IL2 is at home ... ) monday to thursday because of my work  and  every week it is the same.

It is thursday 5:10 PM ( hawai time) , I am  just back home,  I got the update, very happy to try the BF 109, and arghhhh when I launched the game I got the access  error server.

I have just now read the news on the forum : access is already off !  ( last week it was okay until thursday 11 PM and I could fly with the lagg ).

So , every week it will be the same ? in this case I will never be able to play until July , date of official and public release ?

 

Please developers think about people like me , I am sure I am not the only one in this situation .  saturday and sunday are certainly the best days for access to BOS ... Please ... ( sorry for my english )

No there was definitely something wrong because I haven't been able to play at all today, and I can confirm that another member (piper) has not been able to play since yesterday. We don't mind the limited times every week for now, but for the love of god make sure it works when you say it should.

It's a time zone thing. I'm on the West coast, so PST. Since they are 12 hours ahead of me, my access starts at noon on Mondays, and runs through noon on Wednesdays, because that's tue-wed-thurs for them..

is this the right place to ask if the server is up and running today (6/12), because I can't to connect to the master server, which is a bit frustrating since I can't wait to shoot something down, and I'd rather not shoot my computer if I can spare it...

 

Anyone got the same issue today ? Is there a trick to make it work that I don't know about ?
