I am wondering how the zoom in/out function will be implemented (or has been) in VR.

Is anybody with the Vive working on BOS able to comment on that?

Here you are a video to show how zoom is implemented in DCS:

I don´t know how will I feel when being in VR and suddenly all the view is zoomed when pressing the zoom in button.

Does anybody has experience on that?

I am not sure about how our brain will interpret that phenomena.

Perhaps it could be more confortable for our brain to simulate using binoculars like it is simulated in this combat submarine simulator post:

Just an aside question, were real WW-II or WW-I combat pilots using binoculars?

Zooming in is not natural, but VR is not real world  so yours brain will get used to it   easily.

It's not that bad, much easier than I thought to get used to. Definitely worth it, I know there is a thread on the DCs forum on how to increase zoom manually to go further in than standard, but I can't find it.

The more realist would be to disable zooming everywhere (VR and non-VR), or to implement zooming with binoculars
