i16s vs Bf110s - Analyzing Gameplay

I know when I was very new and learning, the one thing I wanted most but found hardest to get was the "why" of air combat.  A lot of it is unintuitive.  So for example, during your LaGG fight when Mopsy goes low after losing sight of you, I think it would be a great teaching point if you talk for a bit about why you chose to stay high, such as "it lets me trade my altitude for added G capability later if I need it" or whatever.

Not every move has a Eureka moment, but I think it would be a big help for those of us who aren't uber leet dogfighters/duellists to hear the pros talk about, say, why they chose lag pursuit instead of lead pursuit in a particular instance, or why they went nose-to-nose vs nose-to-tail after the merge.  Things like that.

As requested, I analyze my gameplay and pause the game periodically to show you my thoughts and decisions. This way you can make better decisions when you fly your own planes. I hope this was helpful and answers the "why".

Really cool video Sketch. I think you should put more effort into the graphics though as I have no idea what you meant when you were explaining the plane being under your cowl; I think the graphic actually made it more confusing, but otherwise, cool vid. I think the BF110 and i16 are probably the two most interesting planes to vs each other in group battles.

I had a dogfight from yesterday I wish I had saved...I really am looking for more breakdowns of fights...I find i've hit a sklll plateau and im not going to get better unless I can figure out what theories or techniques i'm using incorrectly form better pilots, like you.
