Redglyph Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 At the end of a campaign mission, my current level was reset and it added the points of the mission to an empty XP pilot - as if I were starting a new pilot, and no campaign mission was available in the current chapter (counter-offensive, BoM). After quitting, and starting IL2 again, the previous state was back, but the mission has been done for nothing, it didn't count at all. After the random half points, it seems those scores and status become more and more weird.
Redglyph Posted December 17, 2016 Author Posted December 17, 2016 Same bug again when starting IL-2. Is that a known problem?
Redglyph Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 Another case of amnesia, after doing a simple mission in BoS, the map shows no mission. The _gui.log shows errors: Error: Unknown file format at URL "swf\il2/skin/accountstate/bronze.eng.dds" Warning: Failed loading URL "il2/skin/accountstate/bronze.eng.dds" Error: Missing font "Times New Roman" in ".root1.instance5". Search log: Searching for font: "Times New Roman" [Device] Movie resource: "Times New Roman" [Device] not found. Imports : "Times New Roman" [Device] not found. Exported : "Times New Roman" [Device] not found. Registered fonts: "Times New Roman"[Device] not found. Searching FontProvider: "Times New Roman" [Device] not found. Searching again without [Device] flag: Movie resource: "Times New Roman" not found. Imports : "Times New Roman" not found. Exported : "Times New Roman" not found. Registered fonts: "Times New Roman" not found. Font not found. Error: Unknown file format at URL "swf\il2/map/localplayer.png" Warning: Failed loading URL "il2/map/localplayer.png" The tex.log is full of errors (see attachment, I had to rename it because the forums won't accept .log files). Not sure what else could be useful. tex.log.txt
Redglyph Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 Still happening with update 2.008. After a mission of the campaign "Battle of Stalingrad", no mission shown on the map, last mission does not count at all.
Blutaar Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I experienced this ones and was confused but after restarting the game i never had that again, dont know why you have this so often.
Redglyph Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 Yet another time, it seems to happen every time the pilot reaches a new level (except I can't seem to get past this point now).
unreasonable Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I knew the answer to this problem but I have forgotten it.... Seriously, you might as well just leave the official campaign if this is frustrating you. Since it is going to be replaced soon with a new Career mode and we do not need to "unlock" anymore, I doubt it is getting any attention. In the meantime, there are some really good SP campaigns available.
Blutaar Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I can agree, PWCG for example is a very good sp campagin in my opinion and i read often enough that the scripted campaign you can buy is also very nice, maybe this is a short time solution to your problem.
Redglyph Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 Thanks for the tips Following the instructions from the support, I re-installed IL-2 in case some files were corrupted, but it's too early to tell whether it has solved the problem or not. I will confirm later for anyone else who encounters the same issue. I don't care much for the level/XP thing, and while I wonder why some of the missions remain inaccessible, it's not a big deal, the way the campaigns are organized doesn't always make it easy to get involved anyway so I'm just enjoying the flight and the fight. But I'm curious to see the new career mode, this could give the missing motivation by adding some purpose to an otherwise seemingly random series of missions. I've tried the new "scripted" campaign DLC, it's nice really. It feels more personal than the current campaigns, the missions feel more different from one another and actually relate to the story.
