LLv44_Kanttori Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) This Horst Carganico's Bf 109 G-2 skin is wrong: He has this Mickey Mouse painting on his Bf 109 G-6 in Alakurtti, Finnish Lapland from September 1943 to Spring 1944: https://www.flickr.com/photos/28092068@N03/11069592475 https://www.flickr.com/photos/28092068@N03/11069710424/in/photostream/ Edited November 19, 2016 by LLv32_Kanttori
707shap_Srbin Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) Mate. Horst Carganico flew 2 different Bf109G's with large Mickey Mouse instead of Chevrons. 1st: Bf109G-2/R6/Trop W.Nr. 14015 (Produced as G-1 but had deleted high-altitude equipment, redesignated as G-2 and sent to JG5). Temporary winter camouflage applied. Then in late april winter camo was completely deleted, and Carganico damaged this aircraft in may 1943. 2nd: Bf109G-6 Found two variants of camouflage. LLv44_Kanttori Posted November 19, 2016 Author Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) Thank you for the information Panzerbar, I was wrong!I had a dr. Hannu Valtonen's book "Luftwaffe's Northern Front" and I saw that G-6 painting also there. The "Mickey Mouse" is so similar on both of those camouflages that I made a mistake. It is nice to see that you take these camoulages and skins as serious than me! P.S. I edit the heading of this thread. Edited November 19, 2016 by LLv32_Kanttori
